Wasn't this one of the things oxford fans said before he came about his strange subs?

Why he takes holmes off and duffy doesn't get on the pitch let alone start is beyond my understanding.

I cant fathom why we are dead set at not shooting. On another note have not seen us passing sideways and backwards as much since Cloughs reign. Baldock runs into the right hand corner of the box and instead of shooting passes it back out of the box. Its frustrating that they wont hit one at the goal. Who's telling them to walk the ball in the net. If they shoot it could take a deflection or anything, its got to be better than passing it backwards surely.

Holmes was the only player on the pitch that when he got the ball he ran at them and give them some thing to worry about can't understand why he went off. Basham was lost as soon as we changed formation so should have been changed at half time, why would Basham play out on a wing? And for me Evans should have come off when we changed formation as well had a good game and can control games like he has shown but was sitting far to deep for a 4-4-2 leaving us with just fleck in midfield and he has got turned every single time they have backed into him today.

I'm really struggling with the team in the last few weeks. The new signings haven't had to serve their apprenticeship as it were, yet Stevens, Basham etc wear some kind of selection cloak of armour. Our performances have been tepid and yet Duffy and Sharp still don't a look in. Is Wilder being stubborn with this now? No other explanation makes sense.

Don’t think anyone’s been poor just that weve played a team of better players. Jota and Costa costing them a combined sum of £27m, different league stuff. I agree some subs have been odd to me but I’d hazard a guess that the gaffer knows a bit more about his squad and football than us

The substitutions last couple of games have been baffling. Evans was our best player against Villa, Holmes was the only one looking like he might create something tonight. Admire putting another striker on but what's the point when we were creating nothing? Basham off Duffy on would have been better, much more creativity going forward and more control of the midfield. Sorry but that second half was pretty dreadful.

Completely agree, Basham has been gash, work rate aside he's not got the quality we require, no idea why Duffy didn't come on, we look lacklustre, and to be fair before the new players were brought in things were staring to click, Wilders thrown in all, the new players instead of gently inrtroducing them which for me has taken the drive out of the team.

I'd get back to basics, lundstram and Duffy back in the side! Bring on the new players as sub if it's not working.

Did we have a shot on target?

I have to say , I thought we took our best player off.

They're being made too late and bringing the wrong players off (and sometimes on). We would have surely been better trying an extra one in midfield today. Why bring on an extra striker when no one is creating chances? Why not bring Duffy on for Wilson and see what that could do?

Reminds me of Barca under pep. Walk it in, dont cross it cos you may lose it.

maybe he's seen us getting out classed, less than 20mins to go and down to 10men/3-0 when one of substitutions took place and thought what's point in chasing a lost cause, save Duffy for next game.
imagine if he came on and got injured or sent off? We would be on here saying "what's point in bringing him on, take the 3-0, and keep him fit and eager for Leeds"
