surely our best XI from the 43 pros we have is good enough to compete at the top end of this league.
The focus always seems to be on new players but I find it odd that the none of the managers (bar Wilson briefly) have managed to get the best out of the squad at their disposal even when they have had time to recruit their own players rather than having to work with what was inherited from the previous manager.
Have our managers in the L1 period all been bad at recruiting effectively?
I personally think we've bought/loaned too many players. Seems like a long time ago that we had a core of a team that remained relatively consistent. A group of key players we build a team around.
I've found it hard to identify with the first team for ages with so many regular changes in personnel.
