You're the only one quoting bigger blade. All most on here are slaging is the half and half scarf nonsense. I'm no bigger blade than anyone and, like it or not mate, your no bigger blade than me just because I've dared for once to moan at something the club has done.
Offended?
People are simply saying they don't like or can't understand the idea of a 50/50 scarf. It's all about opinions and that's why we express them on a forum. Nobody has said they are offensive but don't let that stop you from twisting it into a bigger blade argument. Many don't like /get them. None of those are claiming to be a bigger blade.
"Being offended" is what you put mate. Therefore they are offensive?Where have I claimed anyone has said the scarves are offensive?

Laughable thread. Being offended because someone may want to wear a half and half scarf?

So where does the bigger blade bit come into the equation?Err. No.
Seemingly - a seven page thread - offended by the thought of them, not the scarves themselves.
I wouldn'tMy reaction was also one of (admittedly probably disproportionate!) anger when I saw the club was selling these. Similar to how I feel every time someone with a southern accent phones Talksport to spout on about Man U/Liverpool! They do make us look small time and like we've accepted our lowly status as the norm.
However, as we have our Worcester friend on here I was wondering how he would have felt if they had got past us and Oldham and it was them going to Old Trafford would he have the same negative feelings towards them or maybe have been tempted to buy one? Also, did Worcester produce any Worcester/Blades half and half scarves for their trip to Bramall Lane?!
Imagine if a miracle happens and we storm through the leagues and get to the Prem and win that place in the Europa League for fair play or whatever it is and Real Madrid happen to have a bad season and end up in the Europa and play us! What would be the reaction to a Blades/Real half and half scarf? Have to admit I'd probably buy one!
No animosity from me mate I agree with you. Just woke up at 3am and wasn't able to get back to sleep and my post is the sort of shit that comes into my head at those sort of times!I wouldn't.
Have to admit that I didn't expect my rant about my hatred for half and half scarves and, IMHO, that we seem to be celebrating a 3rd round tie against mu as if it's an amazing achievement, would create such interest and, disappointingly, animosity between us. Beginning to wish I'd kept it to myself.

Apparently my wife suffers from a similar kind of condition to you TC, only with her she says it also includes seafood, Chinese, Italian, cereals, soup (any flavour) chocolate, fruit, vegetables and all dairy productsMy other half loves Marmite. I can't go near her for 30 minutes after she has had toast and Marmite.
I wouldn't.

All the more reason to hate them! £8 for a crappy bit of polyester. If they were pure lambswool I'd downgrade my animosity to "Not too keen."No animosity, but surely you don't actually mean "hatred" ? It's a crappy bit of polyester!
I wouldn't.

Daftest post ever.Daftest thread ever. I hate olives, coffee, cucumber and Marmite. Tesco sell all of them. Do I have a rant on comparethesupermarket.com from behind the safety of my keyboard? Have I made a "Brian the Blade" type banner so that I can encourage people not to shop at Tescos? My other half loves Marmite. I can't go near her for 30 minutes after she has had toast and Marmite.
Is it even a small problem? Well...no.
The club shop selling these, however would appear to be acceptable, according to the OP

Your half and half collection secret is safe with me though.
UTB
I think you made a bloody good point, don't shy away from it.
I'll probably take my scarf to Old Trafford. It's a Sheffield United scarf. Not a "Ooh look at this wonderful sporting occasion I'm spectating, let's suck Man Utd off" scarf.
But hey, love and peace and all that![]()
Daftest post ever.
This is a SUFC forum and people post about things that happen at the club. If Marmite had a fan base they might have a forum where they complain about stuff. Same if Tesco had a fan forum. The link in your mind that says "because I don't rant on a non-existant forum about Tesco selling Marmite, Blades shouldn't express their opinion on their club selling a certain type of merchandise" shows quite a dysfunctional logic. The fact that you can't go near your other half for half an hour after eating Marmite has no bearing on whether I like the idea of club half-and-half scarves - if you can't understand that I'm not going to try and explain it to you.
The most disappointing aspect of this thread has been those that have come on here to say other people should not express an opinion, rather than express their own opinion that the scarves are ok or that the club should sell the scarves if they want to.
This is my Sheffield United scarf. There are many like it, but this one is mine.![]()
Would anyone be happy with a 70-30 scarf? ( in United's favour, obviously)
I'll get the wife onto it if so...no crappy polyester here!
You, for one, have criticised this thread. Several have also criticised the complaining. There's a big difference between telling people they shouldn't complain about something and presenting a counter argument, as I'm sure you know. How many have said people shouldn't express an opinion? More accurately it's been pointed out that there seems to have been a bitof an overreaction to selling the things.

Laughable thread. Being offended because someone may want to wear a half and half scarf? Man up for fucks sake, your periods all synchronised at the same time? Bunch of bigger blade pussies.
I thought this stupid thread had been put to bed last night ,8 pages on this is amazing must be some bored blades around. That's what you said. You appear to have forgotten. Please don't try and argue that this is not an attack on people for the opinion they have and have voiced, that would be ridiculous.

Play with words all you want, you said posters had said people shouldn't express opinions which simply isn't true. A pretty standard internet claim at times to be honest, regardless of the facts. The thread was laughable IMO because of some of the overly dramatic comments made. Such as your "attack" comment above and "hatred" Oh and calling people c**ts and twats.
All reasonable?
