Have any of them been really any good this season? At the end of the first half yesterday we had a decent free kick position and he just scuffed it and was found himself out of position when Millwall got the ball back.
When he does get the ball even when there is space to run into he just passes it sideways, and his defensive attributes leave a lot to be desired at best.

Hate picking on players but Wilder has got this one badly wrong and there is not enough for Hussey to merit a place as others have said. Kieran Wallace certainly isn't a long term solution but would be a temporary option to get Hussey to up his game, if not a replacement needs to be found asap.

I think we might end up signing a left back on loan instead of a right back. Harry Toffolo would do.

Hussey in general. Not to mention O'Connell yesterday and Tuesday. They need to get it right, and fast. Because right now I'm every bit as uncomfortable with those two at the back as I was with McEveley and Collins.

Half way through the second half at Bolton. Trig Jnr (TE) said after another Hussey cross which didn't beat the first man, "We've got the new McEveley", which I felt was a little unfair, because he'd had little chance to show us how badly he could defend/panic, so only half his potential repertoire :-)

Well he put one on a plate for Clarke first game and then put a similar quality ball in for Sharp to score v Dale. So yes, yes he has.

Hussey and K Wallace are both terrible footballers. Bob Harris was far better. He was far from perfect, but was better than we have now. It would have been better sticking with him until an actual improvement came along. Once again, the quality of our squad diminishes, rather than improves, which is why we find ourselves where we are.

Wilder dropped Long from the squad to take him "out of the firing line".

Chris; if you think Longs clangers warranted being dropped from the match day squad, then you need to be consistent and do the same with Hussey.

He makes Matt Hill seem like Maldini.

I'm not sure why but I always liked Matt Hill. I never thought he was any good..... but I liked him.

He's had a shocker but he's been really exposed with very little support from done. A back four needs time to gel and I'm hoping they will improve as a unit and we take some of the pressure off of them by attacking and taking the game to the opposition more.

There have been examples of quality delivery - the free-kick that led to the goal v Rochdale; a flurry of wicked corners at the end of the first half v Southend. But they've been swamped amid countless errors.

He just doesn't look comfortable most of the time, & his concentration seems to drift a lot (leading him to miscontrol straightforward balls played to him, etc). I'm inclined to think it's mainly nerves & worry and I do think there's some quality there. But...

Wilder's already said he's looking to get another left-back in to provide competition. He really needs to.

Worth remembering that Hussey did get dropped by Bury last season for a large chunk of games.

Still time to get the other Bury left back in. I'm glad to be living in these heady times.
