Based on the fact that Manchester City costing nearly £300m had four attacks all afternoon ? Man City are a fabulous team, they have been scoring four and five goals every week in the Premier League, plus 48 goal difference? They will win the Premier League title IMO.

Many congratulations for only losing 2-0 to a team who had 10 men for 85 minutes. Villa, a team we beat, played against Chelsea's 10 men for 20 minutes. They got a goal and won the match.

Davies. Youve got a very good player for 1.2 mill. very experienced & will serve you well.

All other moans. Welcome to the Prem. Your an un fashionable team so you have to work double as hard to get the 50/50 challenges etc. What a horrible league to be in eh? ;)

Will we sell our allocation? is this a joke question? We should be asking you this not the other way round. Please dont take my reply as arrogance. (far from it) But historically we have been the bigger team & have been to Wembley (or its Equal) 4-5 times or even more in the last 10 or so years.

PS although i now think your a plastic club. (and btw i know a fair few Tigers fans ;)) I hope you somehow manage to get rid of that parasite that is now your chairman. I saw him on MOTD toniht... all smiling & false as fuck. Hull my arse.

It was a genuine question pal. I know Sheffield United have historically been the bigger club then Hull for a long time. It was only in the last dozen or so years when we started beating clubs like yourselves, Wednesday, Leicester, Leeds, and the Forest's home and away that I realised we have a different Hull City here and we have a chance of doing something. I was at the Boxing Day game when we beat you 3-2 with a Jimmy Bullard last minute break away goal. The first time we had won at your place since 70/71 which I also witnessed. The Hull following that day were bubbling because we knew we had broke another long standing hoodoo.
As for ticket sales. We got just over 20,000 for the 6th round with Sunderland which included a good 3,000 or more away fans.
Many were disappointed with the attendance but the game was live in ITV and although it wouldn't occur to me to watch the game on the box instead of going, if you are skint, that's what you do. And it's like that round here, people are having it hard as I'm sure they are in Sheffield. I was in a city center pub after our game yesterday and a bloke asked if I'd been to the match. He hadn't, he watched it in the pub, he then starts lecturing me about how the semi final shouldn't be at Wembley etc etc and how it is devaluing the FA Cup. He also thought we should have beaten Manchester City, I reminded we weren't playing Mansfield. I asked him if he'd be going to the semi ? 'no fucking chance, but I'm going to the Final if they get through'
I do think that will be an issue in Hull. The club booked 100 coaches last week and I'm sure we will sell all our allocation but it wont be the mad scramble we saw here for the Championship Play-Off Final in 2008.
I think we have the better of the two games and the atmosphere and occasion will probably be better then the Final itself.

All good points you raise there fella. A more measured response than some we get on here. As you say, tough times for lots of people, and whatever anyone thinks there are more important things in life than football. Think you're right about our semi, ought to be a good game, and I can guarantee we won't doff our caps and stand by while you waltz around. It'll be a hard fought game for both sides, so let's hope both sets of fans enjoy the day and act responsibly.

These comments are priceless. Did you not see Boyd yesterday? Disgrace on a par with anything from Hazard, Rooney or Da Silva.
Wouldn't one of your forwards have gone down in the same circumstances? Don't you think Hart should have walked for the attempted head butt? The players I mentioned fall, roll over three or four times and call for a stretcher bearer every time they lose the ball. And they are world class players who don't have to cheat to gain an advantage over an opponent. How do you suggest Boyd avoided contact with the onrushing Hart yesterday then? If that was Billy Whitehurst v Hart in that situation the keeper wouldn't have been on the plane to Brazil, he'd still be in plaster.

Looked at Hull's cup results against lower than Prem teams this season:

  • CAPITAL ONE CUP Tu 27Aug 2013 Leyton Orient 0 - 1 Hull AET
  • CAPITAL ONE CUP Tu 24Sep 2013 Hull 1 - 0 Huddersfield
  • ENGLISH FA CUP Sa 04Jan 2014 Middlesbro 0 - 2 Hull
  • ENGLISH FA CUP Sa 25Jan 2014 Southend 0 - 2 Hull
  • ENGLISH FA CUP Mo 17Feb 2014 Brighton 1 - 1 Hull
  • ENGLISH FA CUP Mo 24Feb 2014 Hull 2 - 1 Brighton (Replay)

They've progressed, but there's not a lot to fear based on these results. We've had some good practice being underdogs in big games and it seems to fit us. Hull have done what they've had to do, but it will be new to them being favorites in a big game atmosphere. I think we've got a good chance.

This is total bollocks. Boyd in my opinion should be banned for 5 games at a minimum. Blatantly trying to cheat and fool the ref and then having the guts to spit in the face of Hart who rightly had a pop at him. Hart's actions were never in my opinion a headbutt or attempted headbutt, it was a simple and admittedly daft way of squaring up to Boyd. Diving should mean a 1-3 match ban in my opinion and it would help with the problem of the matter. Just like Sturrridge today cheating and successfully getting Vidic sent off. Its an embarrassment.

That spitting is ridiculous, he should be banned for fcukin ages for that and not paid,i bet he doesnt do it again ,what a disgusting wanker he really is

Yeah Boyds dive was terrible.

The ony way to stop diving is to give a 3-5 match ban straight away & also have a video panel that does the job if a ref misses it.

It needs sorting but the FA dont seem to have the guts to do anything about it.

Do you ever actually go and watch us play ?

Do I need to?

That's a throbbing indictment to the capability of our strikers

22 goals between them, three from players no longer at the club.

pommpey

this is a one off game between two teams who are probably not as far apart as their relative league positions suggest. On the day it will be more a matter of attitude. We have a lot of young players who will either freeze or play with youthful, who gives a monkey's, bravado, not sure which we will get.
Agree with Boo Radley master tactician NC will have 'em sussed and set up accordingly

How do you suggest Boyd avoided contact with the onrushing Hart yesterday then?

He could have jumped, really not that difficult, rather than trailing both feet which was actively encouraging contact.

I don't want any of our squad doing that sort of thing and others may disagree, but currently, I think the most likely candidate is Jose Baxter, who falls over very easily for a well built lad, though he struggles to get as far up the pitch as the penalty area and his antics are usually around the centre circle and refs don't usually buy it.

If they should beat little old United, that has got to be the easiest run to an FA cup final ever!

Will we sell our allocation!!! You should be questioning why with 18,000 Glory Hunters (sorry season ticket holders) you are struggling to sell yours? Are you all saving yourselves for the final!
