The biggest obstacles to our promotion as I see it are:

1 - an ever increasing injury list; and

2 - our shoddy away performances.

On the first we’re still okay for now (can still field a very strong 11 with decent backup in most (but not all) positions). So just need it to not get any worse, particularly at CM/RWB.

On the second we just need to fucking go for it away and that should start on Sunday. If we lose we lose but let’s take the game to them and put them under pressure from the off.

Pretty much agree.

On first point like you say we're pretty much ok for now.

On the 2nd point hopefully Doyle is the answer which allows Berge to play higher up away from home.

As decent as Fleck was playing he has the ability to drift in and out of games and go missing for periods of time.

As much ability as Doyle has great footballing ability, he also has that extra mobility and willingness to win the ball back which should allow Berge to play as a number 10 even away from home.

If we still continue to have a massive gap between our midfield and front line against Hull then I would be a little concerned

I suspect that Hull could be vulnerable to visiting sides who attack as effectively as we do …. at the lane?

According to the local rag, hul have a massive injury list and are fragile at the rear. If Blades score early I'm predicting a comfortable 3-0, 3-1 win.

Hull are very much a team in transition with a fair few new players coming in and a reasonably new management team wanting to change things around with formations etc.
They have been very hit and miss so far this season but positive results against Norwich and Burnley show that they can compete with the so called 'better" teams in the division.
The worry for us is that we havent yet managed to reproduce our excellent home form in away fixtures but there is no reason why we cant go and attack teams when we play away from the Lane.
Hopefully we can start this on Sunday by going to Hull with confidence and putting in a strong performance and send a message to the rest of the league that we mean to stay at the top of the table!!

Injuries permitting it has to be the same starting line up that beat Reading. The team virtually picks itself with the exception of the one CM position but I would suggest that Doyle has claimed that for himself and the shirt should be his to lose from now on.
We also would have a very strong bench to change things up if things arent going to plan. It is a very good position to be in at the moment.

Also a good Kick Off time for me. 10pm here. so I can enjoy the game with a few beers and still get a decent nights sleep before work the next day!!!!

For some reason I feel like I've seen us win at Hull quite often so I'm feeling a little confident.

As said above, hit em hard early on and they'll crumble. Let's build on our reputation for being one of the biggest contenders for promotion and concern them. They'll be aware of our poor away form we could capitalise on that

Surely it's time for us to win an away game?

Feel reasonably confident we'll win.
Think there'll be plenty of goals.

We'll score at least 2 goals maybe even 3 goals
but Hull City will score a goal.......so 2 or 3-1 to the Blades.

For anyone wanting to know why we are playing this match on a Sunday.
I also didn't realise the return match at the Lane has been brought forward a day because the pigs are at home on the Saturday . 😠

Apparently when ever there's a figure clash with Wednesday.
We alternate from match to match which club needs to change their fixture..

I can't even do my usual Sky Sports parody about this being a derby, because these tramps actually think we're their rivals.

They were very busy on deadline day, bringing in 3 or 4 new players

The tight season continues. Come Saturday night, we could be out of the automatic places and in the playoff places. And by Sunday night, back at the top. Those pesky relegated teams need to start losing or at least draw more. Comfortable 2-0 win on Sunday.

I think we will walk away with 3 points again from the coup, but I think the pitch might play a part in the game, especially after the egg chasing tomorrow.
Mcburnie to continue his run and hopefully a goal for Brewster to kick off his season.
