Hull Away

Our goal difference is currently plus six on Leeds. If we win our last three games 1-0 we will then be plus nine on them. To get past us by winning their last three games they will have to score 10 goals, so the task is even more unlikely than you think.

Ah but with Villa putting out a weakened team you've forgotten Bamford will score a double hat trick.:D

Didn’t realise Hull’s recent home form was so good.

Big big test on Monday.. come on Blades!

Yeah but I don't think we were without Deane and Booker (aka Sharp and Basham).
Oldham 1990 I was there and what a win that was, got me thinking tho Sharp and Bash or Deane n Booker? Love the current 2 but it would have to be the 90's pair for me

I don’t have statistics but, although I don’t suggest it’s a positive state of affairs, my feeling is we’ve done okay without them.

You know, if ever there was a time to get behind our team rather than perpetuating doom and gloom...

I think we had the best home form since Xmas until Bristol put an end to it.

We need to put an end to their run and we have every chance of doing so if we play like we did second half against Forest.

True, but we've been (mostly) passing tests all season which is why we are where we are, despite our budget and despite the "quality" of the teams in our wake.

So yes, big test. But if any team can pass it, it's this one.

It would be one of each for me, the real Deano & Bash. Bit harsh maybe but I stand by that.

Where's that logic come from? When I turn up at a game I am as passionate and supportive as the best but doesn't alter what I think will happen...

The Defeat to the West Brom effectively ended their play off chances, good timing for a Blades win.

They are a strange lot from Hull, thick as mince. There will be more Leeds shirts to be seen in Hull if the scum get promoted and all the City fans who tagged along when City were spending big will be heading west on the M62 every fortnight. I've hated Hull since the game in 71 and boy did they think they were something when they got to the premiership spending loads of foreign money. I sincerely hope we put 4 past them and leave them to moan at the pigs and their ex manager.

We need patience on Monday, it’s going to be a really tough test, it has the feel of the last time we got promoted to the prem and that season we went to Hull late on in the season and won, the sun was shining then too, was a great day, let’s hope for some more of the same.

I'm sure that match was in early jan, was a night match and was freezing. We won 3-1 Chris Armstrong scored for us.

What I struggle to see is how the residents of The Costa del Ull can describe Sheffield as unbeautiful. From my first visit in the 80s to my last about 5 years ago I have not seen anything remotely interesting, architectural, cultural, historical and certainly beautiful. Even Scunthorpe had a semi decent museum for a pre match meander, I am sure there must be a reason to live and love Hull, but for the life of me I can’t see one..

As for the football team, the perils of overseas investment, punching above weight with poor business model, mercenary players and inability to attract players for reasons as outlined above make a return to their level of Division 3 inevitable..

I hope my trip tomorrow, by car for the first time in years as there doesn’t appear to be anywhere decent to have proper beer, will be the last for a long long time. Now off to beautiful Heeley in the sun, hotter than Marbella and to my eyes way more beautiful than the Costa in the beer gardens of The Sheaf View, The Brothers and outside the White Lion.

Yes very interesting.

Reference to old Blades, clearly that fan thought it was ok for Hull City to thug us out of the game in Jan 71 was it when we lost 2-3 at home to the dirty bastards.

We owe them one for a few recent results could do with a 3-1 win.

I live in East Yorkshire and that set of posts absolutely cements my view of the sad small town mentality of the average Hull City fan.

They are a set of fickle tossers as proved by their crowds since relegation. I just don't get this hatred for us and the view that we are arrogant. They need to get over the enormous chips on thier shoulders and move on.

When I moved here they played in a shit hole in the 4th division. They have had a cup final, 2play off finals and 2spells in the prem, yet thier fans desert them and go to war with the guy who made it happen. Idiots the lot of them .

Leeds players and fans are on the floor, yesterday has broken them. If we beat Hull I just think the pressure might be too much for them. Hope we come out for this game like a team possessed.
And they only went and did exactly that. I love this team!
