If Burnley had won that today, they’d have had a 9pt lead and all the momentum, and I’d have feared them running away with the league.

However that turnaround and the nature of our performance will have put the wind well and truly in our sails and the lads will be brimming with confidence moving forwards.
Burnley on the other hand will have had their belief severely dented and will know that we ain’t going to be shrugged off easily.

Fantastic performance and congratulations to Paul and the players.

Yer not wrong Swanny. I think we'll be top of league come World Cup stoppage. Another scoring feast due in midweek and a clean sheet win following weekend. Fingers and toes crossed for after World Cup start up. Blades for ever.

Burnley were like a cocky Academy side coached to play the right way.

Today they played against men and simply couldn’t cope, we bullied them all over the park and we played quality football ourselves.

Crazy thing is in that first half I was thinking Burnley are the first team we've played that really impressed me. We handed them the lead but they looked dangerous. With about twenty minutes to go they looked like they were ready to throw the towel in. I can only keep saying that with anything resembling a fit squad we're a match for anyone at this level.

Confidence is a massive part of performing well,
The problem with United is it doesn't seem to take much to knock their confidence,
Our poor run started with a draw at home to Birmingham, not the end of the world really, but it was enough to knock the entire squad out of feeling invincible to feeling a bit sorry for themselves.

I don’t think that’s a fair assessment. We showed a lot of grit to claw points from the Blackpool and Norwich games in particular.

They did
Norwich was always going to be a tight game, but playing Blackpool a few weeks earlier at full strength and full confidence and we'd have despatched them without the need for a comeback

I think the bigger confidence hit for players is watching teammates drop with injury every week.

At times in that first half they were very very good. The speed of passing often into dangerous (for them) areas to create space was great to watch.

I remember thinking we've got to break their confidence. But that seemed impossible. We did begin to impose ourselves towards the end of the first half. Which is one reason their second goal was just about the worst thing that could have happened, and still we came back from it.

Incredible reaction and performance from everyone, players and management.

We've got some big players in that side but I wasn't expecting for us to be able to turn the tables and bully them like that. The delivery on those set pieces were a different class today but that doesn't account for a Burnley defence who couldn't get near the ball from them. Note about Osborn too - definitely not a fan of him at left back, still feel he's about third choice for every position he could play, but today really was a game for him. He harasses and presses so well and has the pace and energy to keep it up. Him winning his battles set back Burnley's neat style of play and allowed us back in it.
