Has he even made any public comment since the sacking of Adkins? As a co-owner you would have thought that he would be heavily involved when a business sacks a CEO and hires a new one. I've seen no mention of him. Given he's providing our game-changing investment, it's more than a little odd.

Is he on holiday with WHF?

McCabe spoke for him when announcing the sacking if I remember correctly, some twat must have cut off his tongue. If I were him I'd never want that smug twat speaking for me, never, although some of our fans take whatever McCabe says as gospel, I take it as pure shite.

He doesn't speak on Club matters as he is the Minister for Sport in Saudi, so his role is more of a silent one

3 years or so in to joining the club and becoming part owner, he must be thinking what the fuck have I invested in.

If I was him id be looking for an exit strategy.

The fact that the Princes investment in the club is still there if I read correctly what McCabe has said, is disappointing when we then hear that the budget for next season for Wilder to work with has been reduced

"Chris your brief is promotion, but to make it more interesting for you because we know how good you are, we're tying both arms behind your back"

"Cheers Kev"

I'm sure he probably is thinking of exit strategies now. They came in, sacked Weir early on and hired in Clough. We made a couple of semis and fell just short of the play offs, there was a big buzz around the place and he must have felt that with a decent bit of backing he was nailed on to get us up. He backed us and Clough completely screwed it up. We hired in Adkins, with the best League 1 CV of anyone around, he didn't really back him, or at least was very cautious due to the previous mistakes and somehow we got even worse.

Now onto our 4th manager in his short tenure and we've become a circus. It's clear to me that Wilder isn't going to be backed. They've already created the spin about "integrating the academy," a "pathway for youth" and "half the u21s in our squad." It's a load of bollocks, all of this was already in place; Long, Lowton, Maguire, Reed, Dimaio, Slew etc. if they've been good enough they've got in, regardless of the manager. It's another terrible McCabe attempt at bullshitting the fans. It seems to me like the Prince has chucked the towel in on his little project, he had a bit of an effort with Clough, not the "game changing investment" we were sold, but once that failed and he picked up his new role in Saudi his enthusiasm seems to have dwindled and he just wants to quietly disappear. At least he had a little bit of a go at it and we probably should have gone up with his investment, as small as it was.

I thought Prince was dead?
That would explain it...

I didn't know they were openly admitting to what I posted. So it's better results with a reduced budget we're supposed to all be expecting now? Good stuff.

Its funny you should say that because as chairman mccabe does a get a litlle bit of stick on here (in case nobody had noticed) and for the last 3/4 years he has owned half the club so surely its time to be fair to mccabe andstart giving prince some stick, I will start, get your hand in your handbag and get some sheckles out, Prince out.grrr.

2 days in for the new management team and the negativity from some fans starts to grow

Let's get through the summer with a trimmed squad, a couple of additions and a new aproach to winning games.

Or are we to write next season off already because the prince isn't vocal enough and McCabe hasn't said 'we have millions to chuck at it'

FFS!

New season, new manager, new captain, new players, new football style and tactics should equal new found optimism.

UTMB!

Wilder will easily have one of the biggest budgets in league 1
Hence why the bookies make us favourites to win the league again.

Also I wouldn't feel sorry for Wilder.
Next season he'll be working with the biggest budget he's ever had as a manager.

The bookies don't make us favourites because of our budget, mate.

If we had money to spend, game changing money that is. I don't think CW would have got anywhere near the job.
Lucky for him wer'e skint.

Amazes me that people say the Prince is losing interest. He's only ever had 2 or 3 public appearances. He's no more or less prominent than he has been before really.

Again, there's loads of stuff to moan about apart from speculating / inventing new stuff which doesn't exist.

Hes the Dean Hammond of our boardroom ,only some people can see what he does. Certainly not stupid football fans ,according to Mr Adkins.

I don't think people are equating his silence as a sign of a growing lack of interest, that's pretty much always been the case. But his investment (or lack thereof) since Clough left seems to add weight to the theory. A pattern which seemingly looks likely to continue. But like I say, where the Prince is concerned he at least had a bit of a go, the really concerning part to me however is that half our club was bought on the back of what still seems to me to have been a poor, meagre effort.

Both he and McCabe bought another 4 million quids worth of shares while Adkins has been here.
