Er no ...... the Board who try to "do it on the cheap" and then panic when that "master plan" fails (again ). You would think that they would have learned from the previous Board's well documented failures.

Last year spent a fair bit on Brayford & Done ...... but 5 months too late to compete in the Division and this year spent sod all ( unless you count £500k on Billy Sharp ) and despite "talking-the-talk" have failed to actually sign any players to address the long-standing serious deficiencies in the squad.
They talk a great game ..... regrettably when it comes to delivering the goods

Our season was pretty much over in December due to various parties ...... only the fans have delivered the goods so far !!

I'm not sure what point your arguing but that doesn't surprise me, you often pedal unfounded positivity until you lose the focus of your own argument.

You've just given an example of what happens when you sell your best players and don't adequately replace them. Something we are exceptional at but its a different point entirely to the one being argued.

On the surface it would appear that any monies used to sign our better players came from reinvested boosts of income (player sales or cup runs). That formula almost never works unless a club just lands lucky and stumbles across a good team on the cheap....in fact that sort of thing is becoming more and more rare all the time.

Conclusion....unless you've got someone that's prepared to keep putting money in you're not going anywhere fast. We're not equipped financially for the sport we want to succeed in. End of.

You can't glean info on turnover or running costs from abbreviated accounts, which is what Swindon file.

Do you have a link to those Crewe figures because the last filed accounts (2014) don't match those and you've a habit of inaccuracy on this sort of thing.
