How much would you be willing to pay to see a friendly at the Lane?

Couldn't help but notice that the cheapest ticket for the pre-season friendly Bournemouth v Real Madrid is £55. That's for Season ticket holders. £60 non-season ticket holders.

No wonder, we've decided not to play anyone at home :)

I assume you can travel to Scotland for free on a magic carpet or somesuch??

I accept the basic premise - ie £60 for a friendly is ridic - but if RM ask for half a mill to rock up with some a-listers, then that's what it comes out at when your ground holds about 10000.

Ours is thrice the size so we wouldn't need to, full house at half that would pay RM and probably double DW's transfer pot with the balance to boot.

Unfortunately, not. However, I'd like to think that I'm having a weekend with the family in Edinburgh and Cowdenbeath, as a local beauty spot is just part of the package.

Not a penny.

Football is a competitve game, I have absolutely no interest in seeing players strolling around trying to get fit and actually paying for the privelege (saw enough of Robson and Kitson doing it in "proper" fixtures).

I have been to 2 none competitive games since 1978, against the Argentinian clubs and the second one of those only so I could applaud Sabella!

Half a mill, plus business class return travel, plus 5* accommodation and food for two nights... apparently.

Keep going......

At this, I'm turned all around on the subject - robbing the poor to feed the rich means I'm oot. If the clubs were to split the gate 50/50, then I'm back in again.
