Just trying to work out how many pints will be enough to see me to at least marginally enjoy the game on Saturday. I'm being taxied in and home, so I reckon 10 behind Silverfox should do it. It promises to be a lively afternoon in the Lion.

We also have to get through more than the normal 2 hours of nerve wracking football this Saturday, it's been stretched out to over 4 hours from 3pm to 7:15ish....

Excellent thread dingledog.

I think the first question which needs to be answered is, considering that the pigs are kicking off at 3, what time should we start!

Start before/ around 3 and things don't go great or go in our favour and we could be in trouble of not staying the distance.

My next question would be Lager or Bitter. Personnally I can consume a greater quantity of Bitter without getting bloated, but find lager better for a session as its more refeshing.

Living in Mansfield I've been designated Dave for about 10 years now, both to home and away matches, with the occasional Saturday afternoon off when my brother decides he's too hungover from the night before to face another drink.

The only time I've used public transport to get to a match was a few seasons ago when we beat Hull 1-0 at home, I can't be arsed to look up the date but it was a similar time of year to this.

I'm getting the train on Saturday, in to Sheff for around midday. That surely has to guarantee us 3 points yes?

Doing my bit for the lads.

Yeah, I normally drive but I'm getting the tram down for this one.
I don't think we've clinched promotion on home soil in recent times and I don't want to miss the party.
If all goes to plan, where are people planning to go and celebrate after the match?

We might be relying on your lucky shits Tarquers, don't you go running out on us!

I'm well aware of my responsibilities. I'm just unsure of my abilities. I've worked out a schedule for the week that involves me nipping off early every day, therefore saving some for Saturday. I'm also planning to make a curry tomorrow that I will then eat on Friday night. All Bran for breakfast on Saturday morning should then leave me well prepared for the "big push" that afternoon.

It's these little sacrifices we make that's all part of being a Blade.

Win, lose or draw there is an extended session already planned in "celebration" of our (hopefully... touch wood) last home match of the season in view of quite a number missing Exeter's (hopeful... touch wood) party.

London Road for dinner, hit the Lion around 1pm... match... Lion afterwards.

I've already booked Sunday off work and written it off in terms of being able to achieve anything useful.

The top shelf might have already been plundered before the match.

All yours Raul.

BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

In answer to the OP, when you've forgotten how many you've already had...

Will be knocking a good few back before and after, win, draw or lose...love been a Blade, wouldn't have it any other way - besides might bump into the sty-dwellers again on the way back to Pond St coach station (ours leaves about 9.00pm)...the joys!!

If I start at the normal time I may not make the match!

Hope Dingledog raids his better half's purse!

I thought about 2.30 and keep 5 drinks behind you. Can you bring Tommy to go to the bar?

I take it there will be no forum footy on Sunday then?

Think people should drink till their eyes bleed, toes turn black and Vanessa Feltz looks attractive.

Or in other words the same as Judges pre match intake.

I'm prepared to rock up. Might have to go a bit steadier tahn usual though.

You will be exactly one hour behind me and Roddler.

Is Eddie coming down with you?

Could be if he finds out the times of the trains.

On another note does anyone know of any spare Exeter tickets plz plz
