How many promotions have you seen?

Just one.. but seen plenty of play off defeats, too many...

would be great to see this team doing what it should with a trophy at the end of the season, would make up for all the previous hurt.

Well technically I only remember 4 because I was so feckin' drunk at Darlo my only recollection was falling out of the back of the van dressed as the pink panther as my "mates" fecked off down the road laughing! Thank fuck for my unknown fellow Blades in that dodgy Beetle or I'd probably be getting home just about now!

Thing is about promotions at the time they are bitter sweet. In knots during the season, starved of success and football after the season and worried about religation the following season.

Promotion seasons are in a way best experienced reminiscing with fellow Blades years later.

Don't be too worried. Our long-term record of staying in the higher league after a promotion is not good, but since World War 2, the only time we have been relegated straight after promotion was the most recent season in the Premier league. :)

Hi Silent/ Peter,

I've never forgotten that clapping cartoon you posted about my list of away grounds supporting United which was in context in a thread asking for exactly that. I had noted your animosity towards me before that but it was a big, big step too far.

Now you post a list of some of your matches in promotion seasons, somewhat out of context and superfluous in the thread and certainly deserving a certain type of comeback from me on the public forum.

I'm bigger than that and used to respect you as a poster . I'd rather explain to you why my standards have dropped since I decided to take the fight to my Troll and the little band of troublemakers who drive quality fans away from our forum.

My troll has been at me for years. Most of the time I ignore him but crack at times.. He is a calculating obsessive who has a sadistic streak and seems to thrive on creating discord and reaction. He is also smart and has either a great memory or a comprehensive dossier.

I have gone through stages of humouring him, arguing with him, fighting him and flouncing from the forum.

When I returned to the forum I resolved to use different tactics and this eventually developed into the Sharks and Mirror approach which seems to be working so far. If the troll oversteps the mark I shout ""Shark Attack: help!! and report him.

When the troll contrives a reaction from me, various other characters love to join in. Frankly they are supporting acts and lightweight in comparison but they smell blood and join the ' frenzy'. They are bullies and cruel but never do much else. When the other sharks are out of order I hold up a mirror and I happen to be doing that for you right now, in private.

Silent, you have joined the fringe of that group recently. I get it that you have not seen what I have been battling against and have misinterpreted my behaviour.

Anyway I think the war is as good as won for me and you will see me revive and become a solid, thoughtful, if independent thinker once again.

I believe you need to up your game as well. You are one of the good guys and the forum needs people like you behaving properly. Your tiff with Fulwood is out of character for you both. While that happens the real bullies and sad sharks merge into the mayhem. I am trying to make them stand out, at least when I come across them. Fortunately/ unfortunately I only read about a fifth of the forum and the sharks are keeping away from there at present.

What the hell is up with you . Sharks . For the love of god grow up . The forum does not revolve around you .

Silent did not respond in conversation/PM but made further aggressive posts and cartoons which sent a clear message and that's fine by me. He is not a troll/ shark.
