My first was the Bill Punton Derby in 67.
Been to most of em since then but not all. Uni. and the Mrs got in the way of some of em.
Still think Duffy’s goal, gave me the most pleasure of all the one’s I’ve attended, but any goal against them, is an absolute belter.

Since 1970, out of 37 competitive fixtures (32 league and 5 cup). I have seen 33 of them. Missed 5.

Missed both league games in 70-71 / the 1-1 home league game in 79-80 / the 0-2 away first leg league cup game in 80-81 / the away 2-3 full members cup game in 89-90.

My record: Played 32.....Won 10 Drawn 13 Lost 9 ***

Most common score: 1-1.

*** Stats do not include Wednesday 0-0 wins.

Been to every derby at the lane since 1980…But my only two visits to the Sty in that time were the legendary Bobby Davidson classic and the very much forgotten Zenith Data systems 3-2 defeat….Both in the home stands.
Never felt the need to go there since.

Yes we were on their kop for the 3-2 defeat. Not been to the Sty since 2-1 win when Asaba scored. Pig fans at work got me a ticket.

the derby on the 5th April 1980. did that kick off at 3pm. because as after far as my research has gone that looks likely to been the last Saturday 3pm derby

Still never lost the pre match nerves before a Derby match

My first competitive Sheffield derby match was the 3-2 win in October 1970 and since then, I have attended every competitive Sheffield derby matches apart from the 1-1 draw in April 1980 (I was playing in a football tournament at Kortrijk in Belgium) and the 2-0 defeat in the League Cup 1st round 1st leg in August 1980 (I was playing cricket that day).
Despise going that shithole but I’ve been to every one from and including Boxing Day. Friendlies, they gave us the north on one occasion. League Cup, County cup games, saw Trenton Wigan score. I’ll be there two weeks tomorrow.

Yes, for the 1st round in seasons between 1975-76 and 1984-85. We played two legged matches against Doncaster in 1979, Wendy in 1980, York in 1981, Hull in 1982, Bradford City in 1983 and Peterborough in 1984.
Think we lost 2-0 at the sty, drew 1-1 at The Lane. If my memory is correct Both were matches played before the first league match that season, a 3-0 win away at Carlisle. Martin Peters headed goal.

You can imagine the noise in our house.
