How many grounds?

Cheers for the advice on some of the European football spots, always wanted to do San Mames mainly from that being my first memory of England in a World Cup finals game, however perhaps Bilbao may not be my cup of tea. Done a couple you mention with England, the 5-1 in Munich and Lisbon in the Euros in '04, for the win v Croatia, both good trips. Cold weather's not a problem, unless it's likely to affect the chances of the game going ahead. I'm erring on the side of Germany, fantastic place but wasted on the Germans lol, I guess their winter break will have to be taken into account when sorting it. Seville or Malaga might be worth a go, can factor in a trip to Gib at the same time.

Have mates in Mansfield who are in touch with some football lads in Sofia, they're always on about trips over there, but tbh they scare me to death! Actually met them on that trip to Lisbon in the Euros in 04, there were 3 of them, it was obvious one was the brains/organiser, one was the muscle and one was the front. That initial reaction wasn't changed a few months later in Vienna when we met them again, a mini bus full of them had driven over night from Sofia, with I assume the intention of fighting alongside the English lol

Good call on Malaga. Very underrated city and if you stay up the hill in the parador its a real experience overlooking the bull ring. Ground is a trad Euro concrete bowl, but walking distance from the town. Decent night out too, especially of you like sweet wine. Plus usually sun shines.

Big point may be that Ale is served non stop in Germany. In Spain and Italy it's really hard to get a pint, can affect the day..

We must be some of the most travelled footy fans (within the English Leagues), so, how many grounds have you seen the Blades at, including defunct ones? Me, just a modest 20 so far. The first one was Rotherham's Millmoor in about 1979, the last one Bury this season. THIS IS NOT A BIGGEST BLADE CONTEST.
A quick count just now and I've been on 136 plus two Scottish grounds in Anglo Scottish Cup.
Also just thought, 2 X Wembley and Cardiff and I'm sure there are still one or two I haven't remembered.
Most of it's been a lot of fun but I could have bought a house with what it must have cost me.
