Just reading the one about anyone not missing a match and not wanting to take that thread off track, does anyone know how many united games they’ve attended?

Obviously those of an older age group will have more impressive numbers so it’s certainly not intended to be a “ bigger blade” debate but it’s something that I wished I’d kept count on.

I started going in the 78/79 season so this current season would be my 42nd.

In that time I’ve been relatively consistent with home games where the away games has varied between a handful a season to upwards of 15 a season. Also factoring in the 38/42/46 game seasons plus seasons where we’ve had good and bad cup runs, I’d say I’ve averaged around 30 games a season so 1260 games for me on that basis but certainly I’d say between 1200-1300

Went to a few pre 1969/70 not sure how many

1969/70 = 10 league

1970/71 = 29 league + 2 cup

1971/72 = 39 league + 5 cup

1972/73 = 34 or 35 league + 4 cup

Boarding school years
1973/74 = 19 league

1974/75 = 16 or 17 league + 1 cup

1975/76 = 14 league + 1 cup

1976/77 = 12 league + 1 cup

1977/78 = 9 league + 1 cup

1978/79 = 13 league + 1 cup

And then I left school so I went to at least 211 Blades competitive matches during that period. Will try to work out the next 10 seasons later

Be a good view in front of me then I suspect.

First went in March 1958. Been a season ticket holder since 1990.
Best guess home and away is around 1100 spread from Newcastle down to Exeter !
Off now to check sanity !

One to really piss everyone off. How much have you spent watching United .
Tickets, travel, beer, food, days off work, hotels, prostitute (whoops cancel that) and clubshop. Cher ching .

Show offs!
Some on us were born after the world was black and white! 🤣
(No more racism quotes ta!)

Not as regular as I assumed mate and I say that with respect.

Just imagined you to have been a 30 a season person

Have been in the early 1990s (next up!) and since 2016. I was at boarding school between 1973 and 1979 and after I left school until the mid 1980s I was playing football regularly on Saturday afternoons.

So what's with the obsession about stalking pensioners mate?

Hurtling towards my 50’s though pal at a rate of knots.

I’ve just been flitting between this thread and another where I was recalling the River Plate friendly as a 7/8 year old.

Where on earth has all that time gone. Scary stuff

Too right mate.
I have a theory about slowing it down.
Keep finding something different to do!
When we started going to Spain for a few weeks in the winter 4 or 5 years ago, the first week or two seemed like normal holiday speed, the last few flew by.
I made a decision to change up my routine and do different stuff - learn Spanish, learn guitar, walk the dogs different routes rather than the same one, that kind of stuff.
I'm convinced monotony causes time to fly by.
Can't stop it altogether unfortunately, but still, looking forward to spending the money I save on tickets on a coupe of extra pints before the games!!
It's not all bad 😊

Wow that's a very good question ... I couldn't quote an exact figure, maybe piece together a best guestimate.

Been going since 1975 and missed very few home games since the run in to the 75/76 relegation season. At least 20 home games a season x45. That's 900 for starters. As for away games, missed very few between 84-92, since then owt between 6-10 a season, before 84 was doing around the same. Did all the games in the Ched Evans season, did about 15 in 99/00 and 13 in 16/17 season. Call it 8/9 away games a season on average x40, around 350. Then there's all the cup games, play-offs, pre-seasons, I'd guess between 1,400-1,500.

Been going since around 1964 (it may have been a little earlier)
I missed 2 games at the start of the 68/69 season and have been to every home game since bar one 2001 missed the Grimsby home game as should have been going to Disneyland in October with the family but didnt end up going due to 9/11 went to Menorca for 2 weeks instead
By every home game I mean every one Anglo Scottish / Italian Cup, County Cup Testimonials etc so probably around 1350 games then theres away games probably around 650 away games
Dont really want to think of the money Ive spent  and all the ale Ive supped
