does matt done still keep getting a start upfront? He works hard enough but that should come as standard to play in a Chris wilder team. He's just not clinical enough upfront. He must be feeling the pressure from the substitutes bench now the forwards are back fit and he needs to start hitting the back of the net. I'd rather have 2 strikers on the pitch who can score goals over 1 goal scorer and 1 who runs around a bit.

I'd rather have a striker on the pitch who has contributed to 13 games unbeaten... oh wait...

Scougs would be easily before him in my opinion, even Chapman looks to fit in better.
It's time Chapman got a run, 3 goals in his last game, come on, surely a better option than Done at the moment??

It's getting absolutely ridiculous now with the chances he's missing. Hopefully he'll be 5th choice striker before too long.

Clarke and Chapman should be ahead of him for the next game. Even Scougall's scored more than twice as many as him so he could be considered as well. But he'll probably take Duffy's position anyway.

Are we winin or are we losin? If we're losin get him out. Simple as that.

Because every player in a winning team must be performing perfectly? Because as long as you get 3 points there's never any room to improve?

Ok stop it,
Just for a change none of the players deserve any stick.
Matt Done isn't an out and out striker, but he defends from the front, chases lost causes and is the only forward player to do that in God knows how long

He puts defenders under pressure, and that leads to them kicking the ball out for a throw or a corner or a hurried clearance that only goes as far as one of our own players.
And a percentage of these situations leads to our goals.

I've not heard/seen any abuse thrown at him thus far. I simply asked how long does he have in the team whilst not scoring any goals? I personally see wilder unwilling to rock the boat whilst things are going so good but I also predict the questions of Dones carelessness in front of goal to rear its head when results take a slight dip.

Chapman for Duffy.
Scougs for Done.

Seems simples to me!??

To be fair to him today he spent a fair amount of time out wide as Scougs was buzzing around Billy in the middle and I felt he played very well. Agree that he needs to start scoring again but whilst goals are coming from elsewhere there isn't really a problem. I think CW values his work rate and versatility and can't see him changing things whilst we are winning.

I'm torn a bit on this, he should be scoring more and there's 3 players on the bench that are in better scoring form.

On the other hand he's part of a system that just keeps winning, I'm unsure of the knock on affect to the rest of the team if he's dropped.

I'm more sure Basham shouldn't start but again we are winning so I'd just leave it at least for now. Not even at xmas yet.

So you have a problem with us and winning 2-1 for the rest of the season? Get a fucking grip man. Done is part of the reason, not part of the problem.

No - even if winning every game 2-1 was any sort of possibility. But I do have a problem when fans are so narrow minded and simple that they can't possibly see room for improvement in the team just because they're winning most games, regardless of the other options in the squad, regardless of the actual performances.

That's probably why Chris Wilder is manager and you're on here

Please excuse my narrow mindedness. II didnt realise we got extra points for every goall Done scored, or had points deducted forr every game he doesn't.

I like Done and even though he's not scoring at the moment I'd still play him. When he was missing from the team the other week we really missed his pressure and none stop running and chasing down. He just gives us an option to play further up the pitch that others don't at the moment so while ever we are scoring from other areas and winning and he's contributing to this I'd keep playing him as it seems to work.

Thankfully that's not the reason. He'll see room for improvement improvement too. That'll become clear between now and the end of January.

Please understand this, if you can: the more convincingly you win, the better you are as a team. The better you are as a team, the better your chances of success.

If we need goals we can change it easily enough and done will have softened up the defence

Ricky, I'm so sorry to be so narrow minded and thinking that Done is holding us back. Can you explain how many more points we would get by not playing Done? Can't be too difficult can It?

Starting from here and now, we'll get more points if Leon starts than if Natt does. There, done.
