Just got back, and I have to say it was a typical game against Sheff Utd that I've come to expect over the years! They've had 3 different managers whilst I've been watching them - Warnock, Blackwell and now Speed, yet they all seem to have the same ethos, must just be inbuilt in at Bramall Lane!

But yeah, boring game as was to be expected. All they did all night was sit every man behind the ball, and once they got it, just whacked the ball down the channels to Bogdanovic and chased after it. And when we had it and broke from midfield past one of their players, more often than not they were just brought down cynically and not punished by the referee. This continued all night.

before anyone moans about us playing long ball and playing shit ect, no team would be able to play fluent football against those dirty bastards, at least 2 decent penalty shouts imho first when defender grabbed blacstocks arm and dragged him for around 10 yards before pulling him to the ground, second when they had his shirt off his back, bertrand has his face stamped into the ground should of been a booking at least but overall we battled well and deserved a point but nothing else.

During the commentary last night Sir Keith said after the half time break that the local press boys were all asking him if we'd played this well all season.

Fans and the media generally have pre-conceived ideas but let's face it, we have been a long ball, hard to beat type team for the best part of 30 years. The only way that will change is if we actually go up playing 'the right way' as has been seen by the press Blackpool have got. I think we'll certainly get a chance with Speed in charge who has the right kind of profile as far as the media is concerned. Whether we can actually achieve it is another matter.
