I personally think that it has become extremely apparent how much we miss Che Adams when he isn't in the side. Not only for what he does on the ball but I think with him being a livewire, he drags the opposition out of position to mark him which in turn makes more space for us. But unlike Murphy who struggled a bit last season when double man marked, I think Che has enough about him to still be effective.

I can't wait to see him back in the side causing hassle.

Che's a great prospect and will do well for us but we can't rely on him alone.
You and I know this. However, our club seem to believe that He is to be relied upon. Great little gamble when he's fit... When he's not we rely on Woolford

I think, now Murphy has gone, he's one of 2 players in our squad who defenders would worry about facing. We need them both fit and on form as often as possible. One's a kid though and the other's wildly inconsistent and injury prone.

I just don't think this is even remotely true.

Adams is an exciting prospect but very raw. He was largely ineffective going forwards in the games after Chesterfield, but had begun to show dedication to the less eye catching aspects of the game.

If he can develop both sides of his game then he has a chance to shine at a higher level

On Tuesday we had at least three great chances for Sharp, one for McNulty, and a penalty.

I don't think the inclusion of Adams would have improved significantly on that.

Despite the relentless tide of hate and negativity from some quarters, the team - and sections of the crowd - reacted well to the initial reversal on Tuesday and did pretty much everything apart from put the ball in the net.

I would like to see Adams in the team but he is not a saviour - nor is anyone else - and to even suggest that is to put pressure on him he doesn't need.

I agree with that. He didn't have a particularly good game at Peterborough, but it was clear there was still a nuisance factor that worried one or two of their defenders – which resulted in a booking for one of them I think.

Done and Brayford plus valuable additions from loan market can't come quick enough either.

I think he's had one good game so far (v Chessy).

TBF to him, I also think he's playing out of position and his natural position is up top alongside Billy. On the last 2 games, I'd like to see either Che or McNulty get a start alongside Sharp. Hopefully then, the movement of the forwards will improve, because it was non-existent against Bury and Colchester. We looked better against Blackpool when McNulty came on for Sammon.

He's a useful player for us and as it stands, with Done and Harris already being out, his absence has left our left side very weak. If we still had Murphy or had Done and/or Harris fit, we might have been alright but McEveley and Woolford down that left side is a wretched combination. I hope we don't see much of it from now on.

I think without investing in a Murphy replacement that has made Adams a very important player for us.

Bush , you are right . We cannot rely week in week out on a promising young talent , to rescue us every game . The kid will hit burn out and lose confidence . Adkins has (IMO ) to use some responsdibility due deligence on the kids well being , and use him sparingly . He aint Roy of the Rovers , who can stop em going in and score em at the same time.

Yes a great performance it was on Tuesday for anyone with ambitions of being a mid table team. Watched the full 90 minutes on Bladesplayer and no matter how you try and dress it up our performance was nothing short of dire.

and that's being kind on the first 45 minutes

Strongly disagree. We had a slow start.

Once we got going Billy had three very good chances, McNulty made himself a great chance, and there was the penalty as well.

The players, and some of the crowd (which was great to hear), reacted very well to the initial setback. At 2-2 it looked like we were the only winners.

This is nowhere near dire.

I'm a positive soul..

First half, we were utterly dire. Dreadful.

Second half we came back into it, matched a team from the lower end of the league, then conceded again, so not dire, just matched a side that had not yet proven it's worth.

Over all? Dire-esque

We've played three games without Che on the left wing; Gillingham, Bury and Colchester.
