How good was Blackman

Yesterday was the first time I thought that he could play for England one day.

Don't blame him for the goal at all. A cross and header from the duo that won the league 2 years ago was his only undoing, other than that I thought he was strong, commanding and all-round excellent. I'm never nervous at corners/crossed FK's when he's in goal, cos he just seems to be able to pluck the ball out of the air at ease while barely jumping. His kicking will improve with time, but sadly I suspect Chelsea will watch him playing for us, realise this, and demand a higher fee than we could pay to secure his services permanently.

His contract is up at the end of next season so Chelsea may be looking to sell as I seriously doubt he'll be challenging for their first team any time soon.

Exactly. Easy for Vardy to lob him? I know he's a pig but that was a very good header, not some simple nod in.

That was in 2016, so may have a rise since then. Still though, if £13K is double our next best paid player then our budget is even smaller than I thought. How much are Fleck and JOC on after signing improved deals?

I have no idea what chelsea are paying him or what our highest player earns either, I just heard he earned just shy of double compared to our next best earner.

Any keeper should be capable of standing in exactly the spot the ball is going to go, before the attacker has shot or headed the ball. Nothing else is acceptable.

We could only really afford him if we were promoted.

It's the only time I've ever seen him play but the one handed save from Vardy was as good as the Kasper save at the other end. His control of balls coming into the 6yd box made me envious and the size of the guy is exactly the build of keeper I'd like to have

I think he came out a bit for the cross, bottled it and decided to go back to his line, hindsight is 20 20, when you're in the moment like that it's hard to keep track of every player in the box.
