How does this Club conspire to lose?

Probably for the first time ever were not just favourites but really strong favourites and had a team and wider squad head and shoulders above any team that finished below us.

I can't understand this at all, 10th attempt or 9th if you're to count promotion Play Offs. For the first time ever we were leading a Play Off final, scored an actual goal and after all of the previous failures in years gone by we still find a way to lose it????

Shall we lose another 10 or so Play Off campaigns because we may as well shouldn't we as we already hold the record for the most failures so let's just fucking keep it going eh?

Fed up of failure at this club, it is just not good enough now for so long and unfair on our fan base.

I just don't know what else to say or can't even describe anything more really.

You can just picture it. We play a team like Walsall in the Checkatrade final at Wembley, only about 13K Blades turn up in a really low/ poor 25K crowd.

None of our fans are bothered and we’ll win.

If we'd won all 3 of those games, we'd have stayed 5 points in front of Burnley (I think?), assuming we'd still lost to them which would reduced the gap to 2 points.

We would have gone full strength into that Blackburn game to try and get promotion.

Even with the amount of changes we made, our mostly reserve team had more than enough to win that game, would a full strength Blades side have been able to win, I think so.

We might have even won the league.

Except, after the Leeds game we then took 13 points from 5 games, beat Wednesday and went top after outplaying Coventry.

I thought KM played very well.
He would have scored that early header 9 times out of 10 but for an incredible save.
He worked their defence tirelessly , especially in the first half , and when you have him on as well as Campbell , that's a good combination ,
Since Campbell never even attempts a header but has great movement & pace with a good strike record
And Moore wins a lot of aerial ball and occupies defenders and when shielding it , can lay it off if the runners show for him.
In comparison , I can't name one attribute of the Cannon that won't fire.
If he's worth £10m then "the game has well & truly gone , Jeff".

I think the players lack a killer instinct. Too many never want to shoot at goal I don't believe Wilder tells them to defend for 45 minutes. Might say don't be reckless but just try and defend a 1 goal lead - no. After a first half in which we dominated we just never got a grip on the game in the second half. Sunderland pegged us back and our better players went missing. Our passing and ball retention was poor and still Sunderland hardly created a chance. Bad passing or control is down to the players. Another factor is fitness. How many of our players can actually last 90 minutes? Even putting all that aside you cannot cater for an experienced player like Moore doing such a stupid thing.
