Hi, new here!
This isn't a thread aimed at attacking the manager for his tactics because despite mistakes so far it is evident that there are other factors at play causing our downfall over the past 10 years. Some people are already calling for Wilder to be sacked but I don't believe that this will improve our results at all.
The board need to go, we need a new chairman who actually knows what he is doing. How can we, as fans make a change? Stop buying tickets? Protest, although maybe not a car park one as they tend to be a bit embarrassing?
Interested to hear your thoughts

I think it's a combination of to many new players all at a once and not having time to gel..and added to that a Centre Back and a Central Midfielder short...To early to call for his head...At the end of the day we were a couple of minutes + injury time away from a decent result, and something to build on especially in terms of confidence.

Nothing embarrassing about protesting. If everyone who had a tantrum on a forum actually proactively sought to address the situation in a publicly organised manner, then that would be a lot more productive than having 500 threads an hour on a football forum about how shit everything is.

Of course, as soon as anyone puts their head above the paraphet and suggests such a thing, they get derided by the very same individuals who sit there having hissy fits about everything.

Therefore we end up with what we deserve.

No I'm not. I'm pissed off at the fact we are going nowhere and have been for many years. I don't think we will go anywhere under the current ownership (not exactly crazy that) and I think something needs to be done. I'm not calling for a car park protest with shoes of and I'm not suggesting a knee-jerk sacking of a manager either. I'm suggesting that the fans do something or else nothing will change because of the incompetence at board. What should we do? I don't know.
If trying to encourage debate and criticising the club makes me a pig then I guess I'm a pig and most people on this forum probably are too!

Thanks.

Do you have any other ideas?

I have confidence in Wilder sorting this out despite dropping some major clangers so far due to his achievements last year but I feel he will just become another Adkins. A manager with achievements on his CV who will become the next scapegoat.

The next home game will be massive not only by the way the players perform but also the fans too we really need to get behind the team we all need to do our duty and urge the team forward

Yes I agree and if we are only 2 down in 15 mins I'll applaud like fuck at the improvement

Other than the twattish booing of Long, I think the crowd have been fine. The noise when we had a little flurry in front of the Kop second half on Tuesday was encouragement if anyone needed it.

There only one thing fans can do and that's stop going. I don't want to do that I enjoy (or should enjoy) going to football and all its associated pleasures.
That said I'm cancelling all three of our super draws. They probably have cancelling super draws and away team goals at BDTBL sponsored anyhoo. This cancellation was sponsored by Dibys pizza delivery service

Only way to change things is not to go to games.. The less people that attend the more cash McCabe has to put in each year ... It will get to a stage where he will either have to invest or sell

The Board are going nowhere.
You, I, everyone on here knows that.
No one is going to buy into us whilst we're establishing ourselves in the bottom half of League One.

There are "smaller" clubs in higher Leagues that are far more appealing.
We're now hob-nobbing it with the likes of Rochdale, Oldham Athletic, Fleetwood Town... such Northern power-houses of football.

United are only appealing to us, United supporters, United fans.
That is, until the club can be had for £0 .... but the new owner must invest £Xm ....

Give it another six years and we'll be back-slapping each other at our 40th Anniversary of getting promoted from Division 4.

We as supporters, what can we do?

Fuckin' no idea. To be honest, I have far more important things in life to deal with, I'm not the only one who's thinking the same.

How can we change things? Put more pressure on McCabe and not on managers.

I was at Huddersfield today who make a mockery of McCabes claims you can't stop players leaving when big clubs come in. Also their chairman has made season tickets affordable for all. Sensible and wise investments rather than annual strategy changes. They have invested in players like Wells to get them goals when they needed, along with almost a new first team this summer.

They have invested wisely and remember only 4 years ago we were in the same place. I think they are top of the championship this evening and we are bottom of the third division. We won at their place last time we played them in the league. Now we are on different planets. Why is that? Because they made sensible decisions and got them right. We keep making stupid decisions and get them wrong.

They have my money.
Do they not owe me some form of duty?

I can easily stop the flow of my cash, after all, one day it'll be the kids inheritance,
I feel as though i'm stealing from them to give to United.

Not saying I'm not concerned WB,but let's see where we are in say 10/12 games time...give these players time to gel together and hopefully results start to go our way...We've had a bad start, but we've been done by the odd goal today against one of the fancied teams..we need to give him more time for me.

None of those clubs have anything on us on any footballing criteria you could name.

Sadly though, they are competing at the same level, are losing less money and have lower running costs and will cost less to buy.

Let's hope so, we haven't played the easiest teams in our first 4 fixtures but we should have got more than one point if we are going to be challenging for the play offs by the seasons end at least.

Think it's a bit too early to say he'll be another Adkins. From everything he's said I think he's got the right ideas. I'm hoping the poor start is down to new players getting to know each other while trying to play to the management instructions.

I am concerned about the lack of scoring opportunities though. I also think maybe Wilder has tried to change too much too soon, players and system, but I can't really blame him for that.

It's early days yet, what we need badly is a win to give the players a lift, not to mention the fans.

Ps I also think the op is a pig.
