Yep, phone me up,and i'll give you a commentary during the match !
Might cost you a few quid tho' and I must warn you i haven't got a swear filter !
:D

Unless the game is on one of the national stations, blades player is the only way.

Bit for Christ sakes, it's an early season game. Forget about it, and enjoy your sleep.

What?? You mean second half commentary of the match isn't available on the BBC World Service - I don't believe it !!!! :p Guess its follow on twitter again - many thanks to those who tweet on the game :)

I`m stuck on a mine site tonight Nicky and only flying back to Perth tomorrow afternoon. Don`t ever have much luck finding commentary to our games although I was able to stream the Bristol City game live, via a Kiwi website.and the quality was surprisingly good.
Anyway, here`s to a first win of the season tonight
UTB!,

Have you ever been to Perth? It's cheaper to run a network cable from blighty to oz than it is to have a beer!

Fucking extortionate country

Nice enough place but when it makes Switzerland and Tokyo cheap and you realise every animal and insect wants to kill you and devour you from the inside out, you wonder why you bothered with the long haul to get there!

Looks like Blades Player it is then thanks anyway

Are you not allowed to listen to BBC Radio Sheffield outside the country? That's odd. I thought the ban was listening online inside the UK.

Why would it be odd? Why should anyone outside the country have access to the BBC's output?

It's a hell of a lot more odd that license payers inside this country can't listen to it online.

SwissBlade Perth's not that bad. I survived for seven years, and left with an Aussie passport just in case I ever want to go back. The sharks, snakes and creepy-crawlies didn't bother me too much, apart from the first time I saw a Huntsman spider on the bedroom wall - just the sheer size of the bloody thing...

It is a dear do, though - I realised it was time to move on when a coffee on St. George's terrace was costing me more than a coffee in Tokyo.

I didn't think much to Perth when I went, though I enjoyed the south west corner of WA.

Australia is ridiculous now. Been several times in the last 10 years and prices have skyrocketed in that time. Even Tasmania is expensive now.

I assume the coffee was taken before 6pm, and on a weekday?

So you're saying that Brits that live abroad shouldn't be allowed to listen to BBC radio?

Have you got TuneIn radio on your phone? I listen to loads of stations on that which aren't available on FM or DAB. Some aren't even available in the UK.

Normally someone on Tinychat will relay the comm, along with an occasional dog barking and a "geddin" when we score.

Not sure of the fees paid, but in Switzerland the BBC, itv, ch4 and 5 were all part of the cable package I had. I get bbc world in most hotels through the world and as part of my cable here in Japan. BBC has ads here.

I'm guessing that many countries pay for the privilege of having BBC and pass this on to their customers.

I personally pay for my licence in the uk, plus my sky subscription, so why shouldn't I be able to watch/ listen online when I'm away?

I agree Perth is a lovely city, mad busy with traffic and a little poorly planned as a city in my view, seems they're trying to fix that now. Lovely outdoor feel to the place and it's great climate. Personally I prefer Freo, much more of a feel to the place.

But when tax in Australia is 50% and rising, cost of living is extremely high, even Moscow isn't as bad in many places (although pollution there is shocking), Perth and Australia wouldn't be top of the places I'd want to visit or work/ live any time soon. Unless of course they up the rates for Perth....
