Too early to see if we have enough goals in the camp.

Next two we need to be taking points. A promoted team and a team that finished well below us.

yes we have strengthened massively, sure the first 11 hasn't particularly changed but the depth is leagues above what it was last year. We did so well last season because we were very fortunate with injuries. 1 or 2 big injuries to key players and last season would have looked a lot tougher than it did, this season I think we are much more equipped to deal with this.

The team at the moment have we honestly got enough to stay up?

Dont let niceguyeddy see this. You'll be arrested and sentenced for 10 years in Iran for daring to criticise

Bit early to imply relegation but we are likely to struggle a bit without scoring more goals.

A lot of people have said it was a problem last year with scoring imo we need a buendia and a striker or 2 we lost Leon and Robinson and mousett for a few months

Might take a break if we don't beat Villa tomorrow, This place is going to be unbearable.

It's a tough old league and the lack of dosh doesn't help.

To me it appears we have a cash flow problem. Berge was bought early with this years money. This year we bought Ramsdale and losing Mousett through injury and the cock up over Robinson and Burke has made things tricky. Wouldn't be surprised if Brewester doesn't come, but even if he did there's no guarantees.

We’ve got a slightly weaker first 11 and a stronger squad than last year. My only concerns would be that teams are now more familiar with our style and that the other teams in the league are stronger. I expect us to finish around 15th.

I get the 'lack of goalscorers' concern, but in reality our strike rate ftom chances created last season was very high. I've always had the view that our creative players don't really have a trick, or a plan B when passing and switching leading to a cross doesn't come off.I'm hoping thst the likes of Bogle, Berge, and Ampadu will drastically improve this side of our game.
A signing such as Brewster will certainly add to our repertoire. He likes to turn and run at the defence which is always scary for the opposition.
In a nutshell, I believe in the Messiah to come good.

I was thinking about this before pre-season. My conclusion may have been simplistic and naive, but I honestly think the squad was good enough to survive, even before we signed Rammers.
Based on the thought that we would be brassic, it seemed to me that there are at least 8 or 9 teams worse than us in this league.
I stand by that view even now. We are a better team than any of the three who have been promoted, and we have a greater footballing side than many teams who struggled to cope with us last year. While others May have improved, they lack the tactical nous of CWAK.

Since the signings we have already made seem to improve us even more, we only have the concern of goals scored by us as a concern. McB will continue to improve. McG has opened his account already. Burke has real untapped potential.
I’m not worried. I’m excited.
If the club manage to bring in Brewster or another Wilder target, even better.

I think we have enough to survive because this team kept us up very comfortably last season. But we are one of about ten teams who could easily be involved in the relegation mix. So far West Brom and Fulham look out of their depth at this level, which we never did, so that gives me confidence.

I definitely agree that we need more quality at the top of the pitch. We need a new striker and I believe we will sign one. It might not be the big name or exciting prospect we all want, however. We don't have the money for that kind of signing.

Even more importantly, for me we need ways of getting the ball up the pitch that don't involve long hit-and-hope balls to our strikers. I'm not being a snob--against top teams this tactic just means we surrender possession far too often and put ourselves on the back foot again. I'd like to see us playing out from the back more often with quick, clever passing or with fast, skillful players carrying the ball. In Ampadu and Berge I think we have the passing and the ability to carry the ball out from the back, and in Bogle and Burke we (potentially) have the exciting pace and dribbling we lacked before. Those are the reasons I think the team might be stronger this season.

We will be "in" every game this year. We will not be played off the park this year. We will create chance in every game this year. We will win games this year. We will lose games this year. We will draw games this year. We will be ok this year. Have faith, enjoy the year and enjoy the many good years to come.

If we keep up our incredibly underwhelming goal-scoring record during 2020 this is going to be a very tricky season.

We need players in up top, no doubt. When CW is pleading publicly it says it all. But I’m not worried about relegation
