Arsenal at home, FA cup 1978, 0-5, did we lose 0-5 at home to Oldham NYD 1988, or was it 1-5?

It was 0-5 and prompted Billy McEwen's resignation.

I was at two of the three mentioned games.Lost the next game 5-1 at home to Bolton and the next game after that away at Sunderland 5-1. I was beginning to question my loyalty at this point.
If I remember rightly there were jokes in the school playground about 555s, a brand of fags at the time - maybe it still is. Dark Times.
TRIGGER WARNING...

Remember that. They lost by 5 three times in one season. Maybe even consecutive games?Lost the next game 5-1 at home to Bolton and the next game after that away at Sunderland 5-1. I was beginning to question my loyalty at this point.

So was I. A therapy group would have helped at the time..... but happily Chris Wilder arrived to deliver us from such evil times.....I was at two of the three mentioned games.

Me mam and me met him after the match "at the car" and he wasnt at all unhappy (see above about knowing what was to happen!!) but it was well fucking cold and wet........

Be mindful we play City next week who beat Villa 6-1 away just last week...When did we last get dicked 5-0 at home?
Those were the days, these days there aren't any Wendy fans at school, the young ones these days all want to support a prem club I think, the amount of Liverpool, Citeh and Blades shirts you see now is unreal.Wendy fans at school were coming out with the joke about United's new phone number - 505151. Oh ha ha.
0.5 my first ever game.Arsenal at home, FA cup 1978, 0-5, did we lose 0-5 at home to Oldham NYD 1988, or was it 1-5?
Crazy match that one. We looked excellent for long periods0-4 to scunthorpe, 2010. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/8989642.stm. As i recall we actually played well and deserved to get something from the game! Although i've spent 10 years trying to forget that day so may not be an accurate memory.
According to the report above Scunny "put the departure of manager Nigel Adkins behind them with a sensational away win." We're not the first to celebrate Nigel's departure then....
