I remember that day against the Gunners quite well - Not that I had been ( I suspect me dad knew what was on the cards!)

Me mam and me met him after the match "at the car" and he wasnt at all unhappy (see above about knowing what was to happen!!) but it was well fucking cold and wet........

It got worse though, on the back of those 3 defeats they appointed sloppy bloody Harry, three and a half seasons later we were in the fourth division ... shudder at the thought, playing wise the worst time to be a Blade.

I went to the Arsenal cup game, before the game I'm sure Eddie Colquhoun was quoted along the lines of I've always had Malcolm McDonald in my pocket it'll be the same again, or words to that effect. Of course, McDonald then tore us apart and to add insult to injury Chico Hamilton blasted a penalty into the BL upper tier. To think only a few days earlier we'd got a cracking point against Spurs at the Lane, if i remember rightly we'd come back from 0-2 down and Gary Hamson might have got the equaliser late on.

Just been on PorkTalk for a spot of Sunday morning schadenfreude....interesting to read about the ground being half empty by halftime. Main thing tho is that they all saw it as being inevitable that they would get beaten when they went down to 10 men, made me think about the Brentford game last season and how we battled to win the game. They all seem to recognise they are a gutless team and that it's a miracle that they are anywhere near the playoff spots.
