TBF, thought Robbo did well tonight as Anel needed a rest, but I would expect it will be Anel + Holding for Blackburn (which will probably be the team that starts in the playoffs).

Pleased for McCallum as well to get a goal, not sure what Stoke player that was but they nearly took his head off when he scored.

And in many respects very disappointing .

The OP simply stated that they looked cool and calm together and I find it difficult to understand why any supporter would try to deny that observation .

Both showed great positional sense , covered each other very well and put in excellent blocks and tackles when required to do so , thus creating a very effective partnership.

As fans , we all have players we admire and appreciate and others that we are less convinced about but when those in the latter category perform well and make a significant contribution to our success , any right minded supporter of our club should be prepared to acknowledge that or at least refrain from subjecting them to uncalled for abuse .

Just because you've been choosen as the captain doesn't mean your good at football and we should make a shrine to them.

The only reason he was made captain is that he has been here a while, wilder signed him and he didn't hide last season (being the only one that didn't down tools and still fought to the bitter end).

Holding was class,motm...Robbo did ok,and it looked a good pairing,but i personally like Anel,especially with his ability to bring out the ball and make up the numbers in midfield areas,and if we're goung 2 up top we could get outnumbered in the middle of the park at times...It will be interesting to see the line up v Blackburn.

No it's not - he constantly pulls players shirts, performs ridiculous WWE moves in the penalty area, and is a general liability.

Doesn't deserve abuse, the same as any blades player. His only redeeming traits unfortunately however, are his workrate and passion for the cause.

I wouldn’t give him stick, but out of the three he is without a doubt the least able footballer. Anel has his issues but is better with a good player next to him.
I think Anel and Holding would be a very capable pairing with the added advantage that both can play a bit.

In all seriousness, if we make the final VAR comes into play and there's been a few occasions this season where both Robbo and Anel would likely have given away pens at corners.

Same goes for opposition players too obviously but despite both having played with VAR previously, I just hope that's not ignored in planning.
