no we got relegated as at a time we needed stability , he fecked off, plain and simple
but of course youll still blame nccabe
if we are being arsey
Since when has Mark Yeates been the fount of all wisdom?
He fell out with Adams, so he has to find some excuse.
his ability or lack of it not the issue , he was one of many who let us down

He was a lazy, selfish tosser who was another small chapter in the story of our demise.
When he's handing out blame he needs to look closer to home.
I seem to recall the phrase " dodged a bullet there" written with alacrity when he left for Wales anyway. Blaming him for where we are is a bit like holding Orville Wright responsible for Hiroshima.
Absolutely. There were quite a few to blame for that miserable season and Yeates attitude and performances were one of them.

We want down, and he would have worked well under a budget, got rid of some of the dross with bad attitudes, and dragged us kicking and screaming back out of this godforsaken division just like Bassett did.
Instead we got Danny Wilson who meant well but achieved fuck all

Daft as it sounds, I do think Adams would have had a decent shot at getting us back up. People forget that Ched actually started to come good under him in the league above. I remember several posts at the time stating that the only good thing about his tenure was that he seemed to be getting the best of of Evans.

Sorry mate but that is daft. Very daft.
If I remember things correctly the players did not respond to Adams and his record as manager was terrible. The loss to Scunthorpe when 2-0 up is a good example. Shockingly bad result at the time.
Blackwell would have kept us up. But he is a useless idiot.every fucker fell out with Adams and that is why we are in this division. Add Ward and Britton to that list and a pinch of Collins and Doyle and you have a nice dollop of division 3. He came in January and he didn't have time to build his own team.
Everyone can blame Speed or whatever for our current plight but we had a good team. I even fancy Wilson would have kept us up and that's saying something.
Starting at end of jan 88 all 3 were gone by june. Not bad.Deleted Member said:post: 519317, member: 875"]Also remember several pastings during the first few months of Bassett........
Just look how long it took him to ship out the crap like Philliskirk, Cadette and Leaning and replace them with quality
