just looked at the equaliser again - have a look at Freeman's positioning when the cross comes over - marking nobody and stood watching.

Freeman habitually loses his man and gets caught out of position and has a habit of ambling back. He isn't a good defender. Long is a shot stopper but he, like Howard both get a nosebleed if they come off their line for a cross. Neither can command their 6 yard box let alone penalty area. This puts more pressure on our already woefully deficient centre backs.

We needed Collins at the end of last season because we only had a 5'8" Alcock to play CH v Swindon. Why he is still first choice is beyond me. This is the signal failure of the new management in recognising where we needed to strengthen. The sooner we get the CH thing sorted the sooner we can start to get some clean sheets.

Defensively we were woeful for the goal - all back yet 2 of their players standing unmarked with time and space at the edge of our box. We need to leave Done up - they would have to keep two back at least to cover him because of his pace and we lose little defensively as he is just as likely to concede a penalty if he tries to tackle someone.

I were a pro being regularly picked, the last thing on my mind would be thinking about dropping down a league.

He should have done it last season when he wasn't being played, happy to pick a wage (no doubt large) until the manager was inevitably sacked.

On a plus he scores a few from corners so that makes it all OK..........

I think Long is coming out for more crosses. There will be mistakes but he just has to do it and I think he will.

He's a big lad and needs to use his physique more.

Well true but he has even admitted he lacks certain skills and claims to be trying to improve.

Although that does not seem to be the case, not sure how he can improve when he is the wrong side of the 30.

We should have been out of sight. Sharp and Done missed sitters today. Great save from Long, really made up for the lad, he must be suicidal after our recent run. Overall, no where near good enough tho.

Agree.
Sharp had 2 good chances and I counted 6 chances for Done!!
I was a little disappointed that Done did not put a few of them away.
On the flip side they could have had 3.
If we can get the strikers scoring it may take the pressure off the defence till we can sort something out.

McEveley slipped and gave away a daft free kick just before the attack from which they scored. He also made a point saving tackle in the box after the goal ,has anyone mentioned that ?
