Higdon's disallowed goal

Offside. Not seen a replay that would give us an idea of whether the lino was right or wrong, but he did flag straight away.

Clough said they had a player on the line so it couldnt be offside. Not seen it myself so dont know if he was correct or not.

See it here. I am baffled

It doesn't look like he is from that, I know Higdon is slow but Evatt's no quicker and they're both level running into the box. None of their players appeal straight away either, it's more of a desperate look at the linesman in hope that he puts the flag up.

The trouble is, it's not a good angle to determine whether or not he was right. You'd have to see it from the edge of the box to make a proper judgement :(

Obviously cannot completely tell from that video as Higdon is out of picture when the cross is put in however he appears to run from deep inbetween the full-back & the centre half and the full back looks to be a good yard or two infront of him when he heads home

In real life with us scoring at the far end to where we were stood I wasn't sure if Flynn had put it in who did look potentially offside but going off that viewing it looks unlikely Higdon was in an offside position when the ball got clipped in

It's a shame as I thought we started brightly & had the goal counted we'd have had our tails up unfortunately what followed was Higdon getting himself sent off for a needless tackle & the rest is history

We move on

I am not talking about Evatt, the black Chesterfield RB was in front of Higdon, it wouldnt have been possible for Higdon to be in an offside position when the ball was kicked and then sprint to be in an onside position and then turn round quickly to sprint again to beat the defence to the ball

Is it possible for Higden to sprint anywhere?

So from all video evidence and cloughs thoughts on the decisions we was supposingly robbed a win even tho we played crap. That just makes the whole match and result crazy in a way.

I was sat bang online with it and he was definately onside;)

I have never understood why the cameramen of League One zooms in so much. Let's see more of the pitch please! I think Linz asked the club this, but the answer was just something about them only having one camera. We know that, just ease up on the zoom so we can see more of what's happening!

Higdon offside.jpg

This is useless when it comes to answering Silent's question.

He flagged really early, but couldn't tell from behind, nor the replays if he was or not.

There were at least two in the second half that were given offside, when McNulty didn't even *start* his run from a yard or two behind the defender until after the ball was kicked.

Did anyone expect to get any luck or decent refereeing at that place.
