He was suspect before he signed that contract - nothing to do with it imo.

He's still a young lad learning his trade but we can't keep playing him if he's in bad form as of now.

As for Jake Wright - hasn't put a foot wrong but seriously he's not the solution. I still think we'd benefit from a good experienced centre half with a bit more youth on his side - but failing that - go back to 4-4-2 and put O Connell in the centre at the back. He's a good lad - gets better every game and wins all his headers.

To be fair despite his recent performances I still think Nyron was much worse. At least when Ethan wants to he can head the ball properly.

Nyron couldn't head the ball or control the ball or pass the ball.

He could head the ball. He just didn't know what angle the ball would come off at.

As I get a little tired pointing out, this is because Nyron has a head shaped like a 50p piece. It's really not his fault, people.

Agree. And a bit of sympathy too.
He was magnificent for us earlier in the season. Really doesn't deserve anything in the way of character assassination or abuse.

EEL will be fine once Wilder comes to his senses and brings Wright back at the centre of defence. In years gone by Shaun Murphy was exactly the same, very poor without someone (Sanford and Page generally) alongside to talk him through the game. Wright brings leadership and fighting spirit to the centre of defence and to the rest of the team (where we have a dreadful lack of proper leaders), if Wright gets EEL back to what he does best (wins headers and wins tackles) then we win twice over. Can't understand what Wilder is doing fannying about with Basham at the back when we had a rock solid defence of EEL-Wright-Basham. We've now conceded 10 in the last 4, get Wright back in and we might start to get back to banging out the clean sheets again.
