As pommpey will confirm, Bert pointed out that he wasn't very good at least three months ago. Wright is far better.
 
Claude Davis and Nosworthy (at Sunderland) were actually much better players than him!

I think he'll be OK if he moves back to RCB with Wright in the middle. But the worry is that's how we lined up at Bury, and he was very poor that day too.
 
Form has dropped off a cliff since he signed the contract.

He needs taking out of the firing line.

However, he has scored us some crucial goals.

He could head the ball. He just didn't know what angle the ball would come off at.

You've pretty much hit the nail on the head. Love the catchy title, maybe The Star could use it as their headline on their back page.

Although I wouldn't be too hasty on dropping him, it could be just temporary bad form.
3 very poor displays mean his confidence will be down.
It's probably a blessing that we don't have a match Saturday so the players can take stock and regroup.
At least Wilder had some tools to work with bringing in 4 new players in the JTW.
 



I think that playing him at right sided defence with Jake Wright to coax him through his game will see him improve (fingers crossed). He has suffered from a drop in confidence playing out of his best position and, in turn, his doubts are harming his concentration.

I don't think it's positional, as many pointed out, he's not a good passer of the ball which is a big requirement these days. Add to that his lack of pace and you can see why mistakes are waiting to happen. He's a great tackler and good in the opposition box but his frailties have been well and truly exposed in recent weeks and unfortunately, he / we've been punished.

Nail on head! Without being disrespectful to EEL I don't think he is the brightest and asking him to play in the middle and organise is far too much for him. Put Wright back in there and let him tell EEL when he needs to go and attack the ball and we will be just fine.
 
I believe he is suffering from Brayford Syndrome.

Was poor again last night, as soon as the ball goes over his head he's lost (second goal yesterday). I agree with the majority, he needs to be on the right of a 3 not in the middle, needs a calm head (WRIGHT) to play next to him, not Basham, who whilst experienced, seems as quite as a mouse on the pitch.
 
Lets get really radical and get Hanson in defense and put EEL up front with Sharp.
