23td February tomorrow. Think the 93 day rule means anyone signing from tomorrow onwards can play until end of playoffs.

Anyone want to suggest if there will be any ins and outs?

I think they will see how we go in the next two games, if we win them then there is still a chance of getting in the play offs and they may well get one or two in.

Lose them and the season is pretty much over and they may as well hang on to the money.

Grant Holts back at Rochdale.....

there's bound to be a loan/free agent or two that can give an added pep to the end of season run-in :)

Can't see the need for a CH if Bash can stay on the form he showed satdi. Flo will backfill Baxter and we will limp on to the end of the season for a reight clear out. As Adkin's has said we need a long term plan so no quick fix.
Only incoming I can see is a possible left winger.

Think you might need to count your days again. They won't play in the play off final if they sign before the weekend.

I would wait to see if we can get 6 points from the next 2 games.

well tomorrow opens the door for any possible loans , if we havent got someone in by monday night Id think its fair to assess we wont bring anyone in
Deficate or bust time

What's happening to me

I find myself agreeing with you o_O

Toilet paper ready :(

I don't think we will bring in anyone.

A real shame as we have a chance to get in to the play-offs and kick on especially when you look at the form of some of the teams above us.

For loaned players to play in the play off final ,Saturday is the first day we can bring one in.If signed before mid day I think they could even play Saturday.

No idea who Adkins is looking at. However, if you're looking for a clue, check all players out over the age of 30

Sammon, Woolford, Sharp, Edgar and Hammond

All 5 are Adkins signings and I believe all 5 are 30+

No wonder the comments on footy heaven related to us not being fit are surfacing. Not fit, or a side full of 30+ aged players? (add Collins, McEveley and JCR) All are first teamers

Apart from Sammon. And Edgar. And the fact that Billy and Woolford were both under 30 when they actually signed. Other than that though, you're spot on. o_O

Fair point. Apologies. Edgar is 29 in May Sammon is 30 this year. However, my point remains that we have team of aging players.

We need a blend of the above combined with young, fearless, pacey players. Looks to me like we are overburdened with age. Adams falls into the young, pacey criteria, but at the moment it's difficult to see beyond him

I don't think we lack fitness as such as commented on in footy heaven tonight, but we do lack pace. I never get the impression we can step up a gear. I too often see opposition team punish us with their pace, (are the opposition fast, or are we slow?) but rarely see that the other way around. I just don't see the right balance

Adkins mentions having 6 players in the side that are tall. For me that's only one criteria. Is it ok to sign 6 tall players that are getting on and have no pace? Surely there's a number of criteria to meet?

When was Adkins initial golden period at Scunny? When he took Sharp and made him a wunderkind? Early 00s? Have we hired him at that point in his career when he's looking to sign players who he knows 'can do a job' but those players are actually past their best? A bit like Warnock at Rotherham signing Kenny?

I believe? Why didn't you just look up the ages of the 5 players before posting? :D

It has been known to distort intelligence

Just had it in my head they had all hit 30

Fatal mistake, but as I said, my point remains

I'm off to do a 1000 lines ......."Must try harder" :(

There is also the point that there were strong rumours of Sammons deal being agreed while Clough was still at the club, so can't really blame Adkins for that one either.

Adkins appointed manager early June, Sammon joined end July but don't let the facts spoil another opportunity to slag Clough
