Boro overtake us within the next 3 weeks, then in the most unsurprising news ever, the Dozy takeover falls through as it quickly becomes apparent that he is a bullshitter without a pot to piss in.

Then left with a squad of players with plenty unsure where their futures lay as they are out of contract at the end of the season with no renewals being made, Sander Berge who clearly wants out as he isn't getting what was promised, and N'Diaye gets a move lined up for the summer, we limp in to the play offs before getting unceremoniously dumped out in the semi-finals.

With the summer arriving and the last remaining parachute payments already in hock to Maquarie Bank, and the Prince unwilling to put any more money in to the club, all the out of contract players can't get away quick enough, and a firesale sees cut price moves away from the Lane for Berge, N'Diaye and Baldock. Hecky gets wind that it the right time to get out before his reputation gets tarnished forever, and goes leaving us with a cheap, unknown manager from the Saudi League.

With the squad dismantled, and replaced with willing but limited youngsters, and a manager unsuited to the English game, we find ourselves meekly capitulating in to a sorry relegation

Much more of this and I'm going to have to start a thread about how embarrassing our fans are

Don't you know we're 2nd??

Of course we are 2nd BUT its the trend that we are on which is utterly abject. Not scoring goals and conceding goals where we shouldnt but even worse we dont create enough chances or dominate teams like we did in the 1st half of the season. Added to which Middlebrough are scoring goals for fun and cruising past teams like a hot knife through butter. !! Very worrying !

We are probably fucked long term if we stay in the Championship.

See many other clubs as an example. Cardiff are in a fuck ton of debt. Wigan are not paying players and staff on time.

This crazy football money bubble will burst one day and its a case of who will still have a football club left.

That said if you are Barcelona you can do what you like it would seem.

Probably agree with most of that except the Heckingbottom bit he's on a 4 year deal here and he knows he's won the lottery and won't get a club anywhere near the size of United again, he'll need to be sacked unfortunately its the only way we'll get rid of him.
