It's threads like this, you realise why we're so quiet at matches.

"I'll sing abart Jack Charlton and't pigs any day but none o' this new shite that kids these days listen to"

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

and if we're feeling really adventurous.. Verse two:

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

Very apt if you ask me.

As always easier to knock the idea. Try to build not destroy :

Little darling I see us in the Championship next season,
Little darling it seems like years since we've been here
Here come the Blades,diddlededum,
Here come the Blades and I say,
We're alright, diddlededum, were alright, diddlededum, and I say.....

Here come the Blades.........we're alright,.......we're alright.........we're S2.

Thought of another, this one will go down a treat i'm sure.........

Done
Always believe he scores goals
He's got the power to know
He's indestructible
Always believe in,
Because he is
Done

And so on?

Can't wait for it "Blades,, the musical"..
I can see it now -

It's a night match, the grounds in darkness and then suddenly the flood lights come on focused on the Kop -
There all dressed in replica shirts and like a train getting closer and closer you hear -
( In the style of Oklahoma )
Sheff. United, Sheff United, getting louder and louder till it fills the ground-
then every one starts singing -

"We know we'll be down at the lane
we'll be cheering them on every game
and when we saaaay yip hi Tuffty Tuffty , hey Chhriss Chrissy,
Your doing fine Sheff United,
Sheff United O-K B-L-A-D-E-S SHEFF UNTED !!!!!

Lot's of cheering and whooping and then the team come out to a crescendo of Cheering.

End of act 1-

Already done it at the Sty Sandy. LaLa Land.

I see their supporters are moaning again,
I think they do well to say they have to play in Wellingtons....

"It's a Beatles song."
"Eh? Like 'Imagine there's no Wednesday ... ?"
"Aye. But that were John Lennon."
"Who? Plays for Spurs on t'wing? Or that bald bloke with a beard?"
"No. Neither. Scouse singer."
"A bindipper? La-de-fuchkin-da? Ey! Di-bommed-arr-chippie?"
"Yeah. Anyway, sing ...
Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right ... "

"Fucking no idea. Sounds a bit gay to me mate ... "
"Yeah."
"Sounds like - do you want me to give you a reach-round whilst giving it the owd six-nowt where the toffee comes out."
"Serious?"
"Serious"

*pause*

"YOU'RE GONNA GET YOUR FUCKIN' 'EADS KICKED IN!"

Great shout! Lots of clubs sing old hit songs with the original lyrics like: Palace 'Glad all over' Stoke City 'Delilah' etc. Name some others!

Stokes rendition of Delilah really has some punch though, where, with all due respect to Matt, his recommendation hasnt.. Nor does it have a line like : "I put my dick in her hand and she laughed no more".

The one and only - you'll never walk alone.

Just can't get enough

Sloop John B.

Many years ago, Birminghams " Keep Right On To Th End Of The Road".

And at the risk of tarring and feathering, Bubbles in the middle of Hammers fans is pretty good.

Not football but the Barmy Army's "we've all shagged Matilda " sung while in Oz is hard to beat :)

Don't have to sing it all.

Just the "here comes the sun, der der der derrr, here comes the sun, its alright der der der der der derderderder.. Here comes the sun.."

The sunshine days are coming guys.

Last few years at BL I've been trying to get Tracy Chapmans "Fast Car" going. Thought the South Stand would have loved it.

Think the special thing about singing this type of song is that it is long - maybe a minute or so. 'Here comes the Sun' would be great to sing at a night game or on a cold horrible day in winter, then the true meaning of the song would be clear.

Thank you sir!

I still don't agree with just singing a song as it is (and why GCB will always be better than YNWA), so I've given this one a bit more thought.

Championship
It's been a long hard slog in League One
Championship
It's been six years since we were there

We're going up (do-n-do-do)
We're going up, and I say
It's alright

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter

Goodbye League 1

, and I say
It's all right

Just a slight alteration on a very commendable effort ;) Note that I didn't use rude words :D
