The United boss appreciates things didn't go to plan for Lee Hendrie under former boss Bryan Robson, although he is sure the midfielder can follow his lead as the rest of the squad did when he returned to the club in February:

"Lee had a poor season last year, although it isn't easy to work at a new club if everything is going wrong around you. The fans got on his back as they did with some of the other players, but by the end of the season the fans were fully supportive of them all."

"The Bramall Lane faithful will support anyone who shows effort, commitment and a passion to wear the Blades shirt, so the players know exactly what they want from them."

I really rate Hendrie, him and Speed can be my two CM's for me, i would be more than happy with that aslong as we have two fast wingers (Cotts, Martin), i think he is a great player on his day, and showed what he could do in some little stints last season
Also Leicster fans adore him, he must have done good there

If he knuckles down and works hard i'd be more than happy to see him stay at the lane:D If not then he can leave

I'd love to see him get a second chance, providing he puts in the effort, as he is a quality player when he wants to be.

Agreed, i think he is a good player who could prove crucial for us if he keeps his cool and works hard

I agree that if he knuckles down and works hard, then as I said last season, he could be that extra bit in midfield which we desperately need., but we can't afford to carry anyone.

I was cynical about that statement issued by Blackie a couple of months ago, and I still have nagging doubts in my mind.

That said, whoever pulls on a Blades shirt and plays for us gets my full support for ninety minutes anyway.

Years ago since he played a good match. Please get rid of him, he is not a Blade

From what i've heard he was a good player for stoke the season before Robson brought him here.

As with most of the players, he wasn't very impressive under Robson, but he does have quality and IF he is willing to work hard, i reckon he is worthy of another chance.

I agree, he has the ability to be the best midfielder we have
