C&Ped:.....

Lee Hendrie has joined Blackpool on loan and goes straight into their squad for the Lancashire derby with Preston North End.

The midfielder, 31, has seen his chances at Bramall Lane limited and has agreed the temporary move to Bloomfield Road.

The former England man has played twice in the Carling Cup this season and has made just one substitute appearance in the Championship, coming on against Norwich City.

He will remain with the Seasiders until 1st January.

Grayson wants Hendrie return

Blackpool, 18:09, December 10, 2008

Blackpool boss Simon Grayson says he would be open to extending Lee Hendrie's loan spell from Sheffield United in January.
The former England international has impressed Grayson during his temporary spell at Bloomfield Road but he will now miss most of the Christmas schedule after picking up an automatic three-match ban for violent conduct for getting sent off against Reading.

Grayson said: "He'll have a decent Christmas now, I'm sure his missus will be glad to have him at home."

He added: "But he's done well for us and we'll see where that takes us come January."

Hendrie still believes he has a future in the Premier League but it's thought he would welcome the chance to extend his spell at Blackpool in the new year.

Looks like they want to keep him.

Hopefully they will buy him.
