Henderson total waste of space he stole his wages from us he was either injured suspended or not interested
He was terrible today as for Halford all his tweets about us Blades totally took the piss when he fell over and pretended to be injured lost any respect I had for him today

Cannot understand this sniping at Hendo, anyone remember the Bristol City away match ?, same with Reid, won us 3 points at Millwall. Oh course, they play for Forest.

Think LoughboroBlade sums it up for me. That Bristol game and Reading away in 2011 were the only positives. In a 3 year spell at United, Darius Henderson scored 21 League goals and got 4 red cards. He missed 13 games through suspension.

He sums up the Blackwell era for me - his replacement of Hulse signalled a move to scuffling anti-football from the third worst manager in my time of supporting the Blades.

The real shame is that we paid TWO MILLION POUNDS for him - before any wages/bonuses are considered!

Selling Hulse to buy Henderson was one of the worst moves in the transfer market Blackwell made.

In all fairness Hulse for all his qualities looked like a man who would never score for us again when he came back from injury. The sale I had no issue with and we paid what was going rate for Henderson to get him. You can argue we paid over the odds of course but the Hulse sale was necessary for us and Hulse.

No, he looked like a man that needed a good pre-season, as any player coming back mid-season from a lengthly injury does. Miller looks like that now, which is why I've said we should give him another year. I wasn't at all surprised that Hulse, with a pre-season behind him, quickly returned to form with Derby the following season.

Most people didn't have an issue with it at the time - I remember being in the minority. The only good reason for ditching Hulse and replacing him with Henderson would have been the substantial saving in wages - and I'm not sure whether that would have necessarily been the case, given our reluctance to pay big wages in the Premiership compared to the seasons that immediately followed.

In fairness, under Robson he looked like he couldn't score a goal if his life depended on it, this continued under Blackwell. It was a shame because he was a colossus for us in the Premiership and I am convinced had he not got injured we wouldn't have been relegated.

Loved Rob Hulse, gave 100% and had talent to burn. Sad how it all ended really.

Where is Hulse these days? Still playing?

I take your point re his disciplinary record however I have no truck with Hendo though. Prefer to take my venom out on people like Kenny, Williamson, McDonald who shat on us big style.

I have no truck with henderson who is what he is, an outdated player, signed by a dinosaur manager. Whoever wants that type of player is also old- fashioned and outdated.

You are right. Was a bit strong with hindsight. Wouldn't want him turning up on mi doorstep a la woodhouse

Having slaughtered the lad let me say this.

Be surprised if he could give a flying flip about any negative comments I or anyone else for that matter could ever throw his way. Will be too busy driving the posh sports car he drives or deciding which of the 5 bathrooms to shave in tomorrow morning !!

UTB

All the ex Blades had their hand in it Hendo got himself subbed ,Reid was well beaten as Murphy rounded him and fired into Halford's arms.Halford also turned away without celebrating after the Florist goal.Once a Blade always a Blade.

Yeah Reid seemed to give up chasing Murphy.

Although to be fair Reid is still very much a threat and I player I would like to have in our squad. Although he did moan his way in to getting booked.

Met Hendo in a bar and seemed a nice guy, had a picture with him. Ridicilous camp voice though for a big strong lad.

Which is a nice description of how success in football can corrupt.

I thought it was a very sound piece of business. I was very wrong. :)

I'm sure he is a decent guy but falling flat on his face in front of Harry and finishing up appealing for sumat or nowt instead of sticking the ball in the net sums up his Blades career.

Lost count of the number of times I've bollocked him stick for doing that.

Oh yes, no doubt he was frustrating when he played for us. Geting into wrestling matches (often leading to red cards) instead of earning a foul. I just find some of the slagging off he's getting a bit personal. And sicnce I met him once and said two words to him, I consider him one of my closest friends.
