From his own lips.
Did anyonelse on here see him take the microphone after the lap and shout to the crowd, "I'm going fucking nowhere" just before he went down the tunnel!?
To lad, bought right into the Blades way, be great to keep him here indefinitely, he's been brilliant this season, well, mostly!:D

I ain't taking anything for granted, a lot can change when he sits down with Ole at the end of the season and if Southgate takes him to Portugal for the Nations League.

It would be nice to sign him permanently, but a loan is more likely. We need to sign at least one keeper on a permanent for next season.

Controversial, but I think we can do better.

As an example, Begovic looks surplus to requirements at Bournemouth. Similar other quality options must be available.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be upset with Henderson but I don't think it will be Chris's first priority .

With loans restricted to two it would be cheaper to buy Henderson in the £10m region and loan a striker or two worth upwards of £15m/£20m

If we consolidate in the PL which I believe is possible then £10m(ish) for such a talented young keeper would be outstanding business could be talking club No1 for over a decade.

Also think Man Utd would be ready to sell

I hope we sign him but obviously not really his decision if he stays or goes back to manure.

He’d be my first target if I were Wilder.

He’s an excellent shot stopper, has bags of potential and has really bought into the club.

He is, however, superglued to his line and he’ll need to work on that.

I’d sign him though if we could.

I get all of that and as I said, I'd be fine if we signed him .

I just think CW/AK and perhaps more importantly, Paul Mitchell may have other irons in other fires .

Begovic has been largely terrible this season and lost his place to Boruc (after Boruc was equally terrible and got replaced by Begovic)

Fair enough, but five years at Stoke then two at Chelski suggests he is no duck egg.

As I said there are other options. I like Henderson but badge kissing aside and in the cold light of the day, we have other options and there is no rush.

Interesting comments about Deano.

I actually agree, he’s got massive potential and surely will have a great future
But for the here and now I think we can possibly do better.
Great shot stopper, confident and very focussed but he doesn’t like coming off his line.
As always i’ll trust Wilders judgement...I’m happy whatever he decides.

The passion and love Hendo has for this club is unbeatable right now, and the love is reciprocated by the fans

Things like that can’t be understated, not many could come back from that performance @ Villa, or even that last minute winner v Leeds, but the fans gave him all the support in the world and he came back better for it every time

Keepers we’ve had in the past would have been chucked under the bus and lost their head, not Hendo

Future England no 1, worth every penny, sign him up

Bearing in mind the rewards of the higher levels of professional football, it could be good for both his soul, and his wallet, to decide to play where he feels happy.

Wilder more or less confirmed in his pot match interview that this was why he was at Old Trafford the other night, unless I completely misunderstood.

Just guesswork on my part but as promotion wasn't sealed at that point then I suspect the discussion with ManU might have been around another loan if we don't go up, and a permanent transfer if we do?

I understand the point that some are making about looking to sign someone [potentially] better, but this guy just gets it with us and at the end of the day is very, very good. That being said I wouldn't be averse to signing Dean and another keeper, just in case Moore isn't quite good enough for the step up. I say that being fully respectful of what the bloke did for us in the last 2 seasons. Etheridge would be a decent shout, and probably available if or when Cardiff go down.

Obtaining Hendo, and securing the core of our side on new deals, is priority number one for me. We don’t need to be bring in 5-6 @ £100m aka Fulham. Evolution not revolution, identify 1-2 top championship players that will improve us and maybe a loan or 2. For me, this group deserve a chance for a crack at the top flight

I would sign him if available or another loan deal. (The more likely option)

I would also go for Tammy Abraham on a season loan.

I would be doing as much as possible to keep the main players from the promotion winning squad together. They are fast becoming fellow ‘gate keepers’ of the club and will be vital in setting the tone for any new players coming in. We need 5/6 players IMO and we need them to be welcomed in to the club but feel in the minority and understand they need to work for their place ahead of the boys who got us here.

We could try to do it on the cheap, but I can easily see us spending £60m on players.

Top Championship players are going to cost a minimum of £10m and maybe over £20m for strikers/attacking midfielders. With currently only Sharp and McGoldrick as strikers for next season and Duffy getting on a bit, it’s not going to be cheap if we look at top Championship players. We’d easily spend £40m on 2 strikers and an attacking midfielder.

We’re only allowed 2 loans at any one time and 1 of those could be Hendo. So maybe the free agent market is an option but that generally means big wages at Premier League level.

The hard work starts now for Wilder!

I don’t think it’s controversial to anyone with a realistic and sensible viewpoint. Begovic would be a better and more experienced keeper. However, personally I’d rather we signed him (no loan although fine with a buy back clause so long as it’s sensible ) and built for the future with him.
We need some young blood and he could lead the team and become a real legend for us, alongside Kelly and Tracey.

Hopefully when De Gea made his blunder on Monday, Wilder assured Ole that it wasn't a goalkeeper error and Henderson isn't ready for Man Utd yet!!
