3 Stooges or 3 Amigos time will tell reckon they might steady the ship bring us into calmer waters, looking forward to Sunday now

Watched the YouTube version on the Blades channel & was pretty impressed with him & what he had to say.
As a trio with Hecky & McCall, they’ve talked a lot of sense so far & I can’t help but be filled with a sense of hope.
Hecky mentioned a 4th member of the coaching team - Wonder who it’s gonna be?

beat me to it, I was going to say, its not hard to see why they got the jobs, eloquent, lots of common sense, facts and plain speaking. Hecky mentioned something in the first training video and Jack L just confirmed it, its a simple idea, and bloody obvious, but often over complicated,,You are going to make mistakes, its okay, thats not important, what us important is how you react,,they are giving the guys permission to make mistakes, which sounds utterly stupid, but its not, because not every pass will get to its target, not every cross will lead to a goal, not every shot etc

So if you know that, but react, chase back, tackle get the ball back when a pass goes astray or a cross hits the first man, you give yourself the right/permission to keep making that difficult pass, keep putting the crosses in

Billy Sharp?

More concerning than a 4th coach is the rest of the backroom staff.

The long standing heads of medical, sports science, analysis and goalkeeping departments left with wilder. Jokanovic brought his own foreign replacements but they’ve now been sacked off, leaving us with no experienced analyst, no head physio, a brand new first team keeper coach in Matt duke and no head of sports science (though Lee McMahon and Nathan winder are both very experienced).

Need to get some serious recruitment done.

Do you think they can pass on that message about making mistakes is ok to our fan base ?

Interviews with both McCall and Lester were very good. If the team can take their enthusiasm and expertise into matches we can rise up the league AND play the type of football fans want to see.

Listened to the latest McCall and Lester interviews as well as the Heck one last week.

McCall - Seems an instantly likeable fella and expect the players shall feel the same. I remember a couple of funny moments with him in the Warnock doc so he appears to have all the desired traits of a Coach that is with the players daily.

Lester - I can see why he's done good things for the academy. I liked his comments about never stopping learning & instilling Sheffieldlike values into the players.

Heck - I'm cautiously optimistic that he's the Wilder-lite version we need. That's not to say he isn't his own man neither.

After having had a few days to process the disappointment I felt about Slav departing, the underwhelming reaction to Heck, the promising performance & result Sunday and watching the clubs video content I am beginning to feel a bit more optimistic. Not because I think Slav departing cures all our ills, but because I think Heck is the best possible & experienced candidate to succeed with a shitshow squad and an even bigger shitshow board. If anyone can muster any success in spite of incompetent boardroom leadership, Heck is our best chance.

The board is the lingering concern. They seem clueless towards running a football club let alone a "United World" franchise and by their own admission they are not "football people". Sooner or later Heck will need support and I don't think they can be relied upon. Hopefully they sell the club to responsible & experienced new owners.

All we need now are some flat caps and whippets to complete the transformation.

Every now and then I like to keep an eye on the technical area. Because of Hulls constant timewasting last night I spent more time studying the Blades dugout then I usually do.

One moment that was really satisfying is when Lester represented every single, frustrated Blade in the stadium by steaming through all the Hull staff in their technical area to try and retrieve the ball. Yes, he lost his cool for a second but nobody can blame him because at that point the players, staff & fans were sincerely f****d off with their shithouse tactics.

Pashun - Keep it going Jack ❤️⚔️
