Heckinbottom- what’s the verdict so far?

He did a great job last season to take us from where we were so no complaints, he's earned himself some time and a crack at it this year but I remain very dubious about his long term suitability.

I still maintain that the 4.5 year deal he got is ridiculously too long and should have been an interim role until the end of last season and he would rightly have earned a new contract for this season. Hopefully he has a great season and proves me wrong, but I have a nagging feeling that we've settled for second best with him and it may end up costing us long term.

So which manager in the Championship do you think is better?

I know a player, currently with a non-league club, who was in the squad at Barnsley when Hecky was manager there. He speaks very highly of Hecky's coaching and man management and considers SUFC fortunate to have him as manager.

The guy averaged 1.92 points per game didn't he in what was arguably a harder division than this year's.

I'm surprised it's even a question if based on the results achieved.

Shhhhh. He's not a big name so he's wank.
He might have took us from 16th to 5th but literally anyone could have done that, nothing special.

You're relatively new here, you'll get the hang of things.
