He has lost it?

I thought he was pathetic today, I genuinely think most people on this forum could have managed the team better, from the starting line up .. Cannon (useless), to the ridiculous substitutes ... Our only threat off Sakyi off to accommodate a player out of position... To the general uncontrolled panic with no formation or plan when they equalised ... Then trying to fight their players both of which would have knocked him out in 20 seconds in a boxing ring ... Sheffield United deserve better .. he should resign

It’s not that he’s all of a sudden lost it, a lot of results have papered over the cracks. Let’s be honest, we’ve not played well for most of the season but certain quality players (at this level) have dug us out. Now it’s catching up with us and games we would have nicked, we are not.

I watched a post match interview with CW on the Radio Sheffield app and then loaded all the previous ones, what is really noticeable is the number of times the RS presenter starts the interview with “well Chris, not a great performance but you got over the line” or CW saying he’s not happy with the performance but they got the result. This has happened time and time again this season.

If we do go up, I shudder to think how our season will pan out. 🤷‍♂️

No he's just feeling the pain like we all are.
You realise he has more of an opportunity than the rest of us to do something about it, don't you? Maybe he needs to get back in the stands and let someone manage things in a more professional and dispassionate manner?

If Wilder shows his true colours after a loss then what about our own fans?

Every fucker has turned him on after a few losses.
Clapping like seals when we ground our results every week.

If we get into the play-offs I won't be shocked to see Bramall Lane with 7/8k fans missing, waiting to jump all over the players & Wilder if things go wrong.

Put your white flags down, lads.
We've still got a massive opportunity to get promoted this season.

You don't say.
Another genius stating the obvious.

He has to learn to separate being a fan from being a professional football manager. Unfortunately I don't think he can.

We’ve played like shit for most of this season. When you’re winning, you can get away with it. When you start losing, expect some complaints. Having a go at the fans is the cream on the cake. Getting involved in a tussle in the tunnel after a defeat to the bottom club is the cherry on top of the whole thing.

Your offering was "he's feeling the pain like all of us". Oh well, that's ok then.
Did he ask Campbell to miss the practically open goal from where Plymouth went and scored from ?
I'm sure he doesn't enjoy feeling the pain.
And it ISN'T ok.

Serious question where does your optimism come from that Wilder can get us Promoted via the play offs ?
Because based on the fact that we have just lost to two poor sides and been beaten at home by a bang average side scoring only 1 goal in those 3 games it dosent bode well.
We were also very fortunate to get a draw against an excellent Bristol City at home who are firmly in the play off picture, it dosent look good.

Now who's stating the bleeding obvious! 😂. Joking aside, I just think we need to move away from this fan/manager bollocks, it's not healthy for anyone.

I genuinely don't know what to make of it.

For most of the season I thought he looked like a man who was a re energised but also calmer and perhaps wiser version of the manager who walked away from us before. He had shown genuine skill and craft in the transfer market, and rebuilt a team that had been on its arse only months before and took it into a 3 way slugfest for the title.

However something seems to have flipped recently. He now looks worn out, bereft of ideas and constantly on the verge of a meltdown and that is surprising for a man who had previously relished and thrived during the pressure of the run in.

The players need to take their share of the blame too, and perhaps they made the same mistake that Leeds did after beating us, by thinking that if we got past say the the Pigs and Cov we were home and hosed?

Fuck knows what has happened, but this is the biggest implosion I have seen by us for a long long time, and one I never thought I would see from a Wilder team,.

Great point this. I can see the play-offs being the lowest crowd of the season. I hope not

This is exactly right.

We haven’t bottled anything. We’ve played the same way all season and been lucky or been bailed out by our star players. Did we play much worse today than we did against Plymouth at our place? Not really.

For the last few months the refrain has been “it doesn’t matter how you’re playing as long as you’re winning.” Well the last three games is why it matters.

Can't like this more than once so I'm going to comment agreeing. We are playing like we have been all season but the flip of a coin games aren't going our way.
