Was it in ‘66 we wore white shorts for a time. I think it started with a 2-2 draw at the sty.
I prefer black shorts and black socks.
Ideally, simple red and white shirts with no fucking stupid shoulders or sleeves messing up the stripes.

Started when we won 2-1 (T.Wagstaff, Birchenall) at home to Spurs on Tuesday night 6th Sept 1966 because the ref ordered us to wear white shorts after Spurs brought their black shorts. We carried on wearing white shorts for our home games until we lost 2-3 against Birmingham in the League Cup quarter finals on 7th December 1966. Our home record in that period was WDWWWWWWDLL. Below photo is our 3-1 win against West Ham 29/10/1966
