Have you or a friend or relative ever contributed to a United goal?

Yes, it looks like I was wrong on that :)

The world was very different and more earthy then. Cf the ref getting knocked out with a snowball thrown from the kop in the game v Halifax on 2/1/82 after he sent off Paul Richardson.
It maybe had a golf ball in it LMFAO, still incidents like the ones mentioned are a thing of the past which is a shame in some ways, a lot of the fun has gone from the game.

??

Yes, committing assaults on referees is clearly something that should be reinstated asap....

I am also 99% certain that the Lloyd dropping his shorts story didn't happen either. :)

Oh yes it did. I used to cycle to some home games in those days and on this occasion I arrived quite late in the day. I just happened to find the perfect place to park it and thus contributed to Blades history by contributing to a goal in such bizarre fashion.

I've posted on this before (but can't be arsed to go back through ancient threads!) and I agree that's how the winning goal was scored, in fact I think Keith Waugh rolled it out quickly to Matthews in the first place.

Larry Lloyd definitely did drop his shorts and got booked for it and the chant was "You're just a fat b*****d, Larry Lloyd, Larry Lloyd".
He also blew a raspberry at the kop
