Have we got the worst defence in the league?

I think it's more of the case that we have the worst defender in the league.

With both Morgan & Bartley in it, I would say no. With Morgan missing, its a really poor defence & with Bartley out as well it is as bad a Blades defence as I can remember.

"I think the last 3 games show we might" no shit Sherlock

It's made me realise just how vital Morgs is. Aren't there rumours of us & Donny wanting Killa on loan? Would love to see him back at the Lane.

We've currently got some of the doziest defenders ever to wear Blades shirts. The Burnley goals were embarrasing gifts.

amazing when you consider we had the 'best' defence just over a year ago.. selling paddy, the kyles and killa hasnt been a very good gamble has it?

Kyle x2, Killa, and Morgs, how ace was that?! It's so true, our defence used to be brilliant. :(

No. Scunthorpe, Crystal Palace and Preston are worse than us. Not much comfort, but better than none. Ther are three sides shitter than us. And only twenty better ones.....

Only Palace and Preston have shipped more goals.

Edit: actually that's wrong. Amazingly, so have the dirties.

The damn recession, crap cash flow and the collapse of McCabes property portfolio has done us in, despite being one of the best run clubs in Britain. It kills me to see financial basket cases like Leeds and Cardiff scrapping for the promised land.

That made me cry. Poor poor Kevin.

Well run clubs generally don't go a calendar year with only one centre half on their books.

(as an aside, it may be that you think we are well run because you also support the Pittsburgh Pirates. If so, (a) I would agree we are well run in comparison to them and (b) you have my sympathies.)

The annoying thing is, we have started to score goals. six goals in three games and still nothing to show for it.

ahh well i have a theory about this.. don't all groan at once.. :D
see.. under bootwell and speed we played negative football on our own 18 yard line..speed tried to change it at first but lost his bottle after the scunny game which was unfortunate.. so carver comes in and the shackles are off.. even ched starts banging them in.. unfortunately we've gone a bit too far the other way and are a bit open.. we need to get the balance between attack and defence which will take a couple of games to settle down.. we need to NOT go back into our shells like we did after scunny.. have more belief this time..
as for nosworthy.. he is a full back.. just because he is tall doesn't mean you can play centre half.. hello??.. reminds me of killa in reverse.. we all thought he was shite when neil had him playing full back.. well i didn't but got some right stick for it at the time

Nos won sunderland's player of the year whilst playing as a centre back.

so much for that theory :D.. he was originally (naturally) a right back.. i.e. you don't have to concentrate as much

Ah the poor pirates. Overshadowed by their successful big brothers the Steelers and Penguins. At least they have a nice stadium and it's a cheap enjoyable day out on a fine summer's day in P'burgh.
