Mikele Leigertwood - Old legs of wood, never fulfilled his potential.
David Sommeil - Sorry struggling to remember him
Claude Davis - Decent
Christian Nadé - Scored against Arsenal then nothing, other than massive weight gain.
Li Tie - Unmemorable
Rob Hulse - Great player had an awful break at Chelsea
Ian Bennett - Okay
Colin Kazim-Richards - Loved himself too much
Paul Gerrard -No memory what so ever of this guy
Matthew Kilgallon - Could have been great but, more bothered over his hair, believed his own press.
Jon Stead - I liked Stead he gave a good shift each game
Mamadou Seck - Nope
Luton Shelton - He was fast looked about 57 and only memorable for pen not given at OT
Ahmed Fathy - expected good things but he soon vanished.​

I understand the negatives of getting relegated and of course its not realistic that we'd come back down and enjoy life again, there would be turmoil with players and staff leaving...

However. given a choice, as a supporter, i'd rather we were in the Championship as i think life is generally better for us there - more games, not so much disruption because of TV as most games are on Sat or Tuesday etc, better quality media reporting, better social interactions,

As a club we're obviously better off in the prem financially etc, but I think as a whole football is better in the Championship than the Premier League.

Controversial as it to say, but i think the quality of football is better to watch in the Championship. Premier League is boring as fook to watch

To be honest that’s been my own view in recent years, but I suspect that the PL might seem a little less boring now we’re part of it.

Maybe. We are certainly in a better position than in 2006/07. We have a better, more positive and aggressive in the right way management team for a start. Wilder won't be overawed like Warnock seemed to be at times saying things like we can't compete with these in his post match interviews and I like Warnock. But the investment has been unprecedented. I thought 06/07 was our chance of kicking on and leaving Wednesday behind. It wasn't to be. But this is our time. In a year or two Wednesday could be an irrelevance to us.

Think he gets an unfair reputation on here.
Davis was actually really good most of the time BUT he made the odd blunder here and there.
We’d concede due to his error (think he made a blunder at home to Everton) then he became a scapegoat and many just focussed on his bad mistakes.
His standards were up and down in the same match.
He had good spells of superb defending then he’d lose concentration and struggle with basic defending.

If I remember rightly in the last match at home to Wigan they were much the better side with Emile Heskey looking superb 1st half.
Then I’m sure we brought on Davis at half time and then our defence was rock solid with Davis in total command over Heskey.

14 players of which arguably only 4 were successful. That should have been 7-8-9 players of genuine quality, lo and behold, something which we seem to have done this time round.

You also need to ensure a plan is in place for recovery from a possible relegation. A realistic, not pessimistic, possibility. Lo and behold, we have a squad which looks fiercely capable in the Championship, even allowing for the inevitable few departures, backed up by some financial clout given the sensible (relative to income) investment thus far.

Basically, you need Wilder and Knill, not Warnock.

Its the perfect way we've done it 30%transrers ,30% wages... 30% contingency plus parachutes and no doubt sensible contract clauses...but for me the difference is potential resale value should it be needed due to the age and quality of player we now have thanks to transfer policy.... we've a fighting chance of staying up but otherwise we'll have a reight championship team to go back up as champions

Is there ever a wrong time to be promoted? when NW achieved promotion I thought we would push on and secure Premiership status for a good while so I will wait and see.

Watched a lot of Championship and Premiership football on Sky and there have been dross games in both but the better quality of football is in the Premiership IMO

Don't think we'll be any better off. The players all premier league teams are fighting over aren't any better this year than they were any other year, we're just all paying much more for the same players, and wages for the same players are rocketing as well.

All the premier league teams have got loads more money so we don't have a competitive advantage over any of them. The only way the increased income specifically can give us an advantage is if we get relegated this season having not spent all our money.

a) the ownership issue is resolved once and for all

b) Our financial future is assured

If in the unlikely event 2006/7 was to repeat itself,the squad,if kept together would piss the championship and bounce straight back a la Burnley a few years ago

Davis and Gerrard's mix up was against Pompey. Against Everton, Kenny was at fault after dropping a simple catch that led to a penalty award

Hate to be a nay-sayer, but most financial experts expect a global financial crisis coming in next 5-10 years which will dwarf 2008 crisis.

The premier league wont be immune and some of the clubs with billionaire owners will really be hit hard and that's not even taking into consideration sponsorship's and TV rights being impacted...

I’ll throw this out. How has the ownership dispute has impacted on the financial backing? Could it be that Wilder has actually been given more money than if say McCabe or HRH alone was running the show?

its like kids of couples who split up , get twice as much stuff as both vye for affection
