Just a thought, no motive behind it at all.
I'm not sure we have improved much, but clearly some players have exceeded expectations.

The biggest improvement from last season in my opinion has been the defence, or should i say, was the defence. It needs to settle down again since we moved away from the JoC, JW, CB threesome.

Whoops I nearly said it’s a massive yes from me, but that word’s not allowed when talking about the Mighty Blades :-)

We've dominated every team in this league bar 3 from my recollection. So it's a yes for me.

Can see the OP's point I think. We were so dominant last season, have we actually improved or would we have had similar results if we were in the championship last season? If that makes any sense at all.

41 points from 24 games so far compared with 50 at same point last season.

Beaten 3 of the top 6 including the leaders.

Won 3 of the 4 games against relegated PL sides.

Beaten the Real Madrid of the Championship 4-2 at their place.

Currently in a play off spot.

Not sure what your expectation of improvement is.

We've certainly not taken a step back. Nothing wrong with the OP's question, but the fact that we won promotion to a higher division should suggest that the overall standard of football is either improved or that it asks questions of the team that demands more creativity from the Blades. So an unqualified 'yes', we're proving that we're not only worthy of being in this division but that with a tweak here and there we can take the next step up, whenever it happens. The key is having Chris Wilder as manager, with that in place you have to ask, 'Why not?'.

Markedly. Stevens, Steadman, Donaldson, Lundstram, Blackman etc are at the very least giving us a much improved squad

Absolutely. Some of the performances this season have been fantastic.

Yes but we took five games to realise we didn't need to be in awe of the teams we had joined and since then we have improved. Prior to that we still looked a bit intimidated by it all.
