Have Murphy and Flynn done enough yet?

Given that the pair have been given more opportunities under Sir Nigel, and they have had more freedom to shown what they can do as attacking players instead of assistant full-backs, does anyone think that we now have enough pace and trickery going forward such that we can now concentrate on other areas for improvement instead?
Anyone for a big tough defensive midfielder or target man instead?

Still need a striker. Not convinced Baxter will score many and we can't really rely on Porter suddenly scoring every time he comes on at the end. To elaborate on Murphy and Flynn, i'm happy enough with em for now. Murphy was excellent today and has been consistently decent since Clough arrived. I don't want to sound like i'm having a go on such a great day, but Baxter is the one who doesn't convince me.

Flynn and Murphy aren't pacey enough for me. Paterson today was a good example of what you'd want in an advanced winger. I may be wrong, but despite all their trickery and work ethic, not sure they have that extra yard of pace. Today I think the forest full backs were sluggish. Not that I want to take away from the two of them-they have been outstanding recently.

Murphey's engine impressed today ..kept pushing on past Florist when they'd given up...still see Flynn as s defensive midfielder ..but good in that role..

We certainly don't need a target man since we have 2 already in Porter and Paynter.
About Flynn and Murphy I'm not sure, when it comes to cup games they seem to really pick up their games, but its just as important to see this form in the leauge, over the course of the season I still think they have been well under par.

Murphy was outstanding, who needs that extra yard of pace when you run past them like they aren't even there. Credit must go to Clough for moulding two players into proper wingers with a great work ethic.

They are both performing better under NC - no doubt.
Murphy is the quicker, Flynn still looks slow for a winger & a bit lightweight - but he is (as others have pointed out) a "neat & tidy footballer!"
Now Scougs can give both of em a 5 yard start! I agree with s24su's very own, self appointed "special one" on this - for a change....

Great day

I think that we do need another target man, especially for the cup. Porter cannot last 90 minutes at full effectiveness and Painter is cup tied (as well as coming under fire from NC for lack of effort)

Both lads have obviously gained in confidence under Clough but these two should now be hurting teams away from home. Add to that the pace of Scougall & Brayford who are both quicker than Murph or Flynny, and we really should be capable now of getting the points needed to stop up. I suppose the answer to the OP is not quite, yet..
