Hattricks

I remember in the early years supporting United, hattricks seemed to be quite common, with Edwards getting a number (including four goals) and Agana and Deane getting them, including in the same game and two in a row.
The last league hattrick I can remember was Ched Evans against Chesterfield in 2012 and before then Billy Sharp against QPR in 2008. This is despite us scoring for fun in recent times.
I guess it doesn't matter as long as we are scoring, but is there a reason for this?

Yes forgot about Chapman's hattrick. There seem to be less hattricks in the game as a whole, it could be because there are less out and out goalscorers like Keith Edwards.

Ward scored a technical hatrick ( bit far fetched) in fa cup v Blackburn. I goal in 90 mins 1 in extra time and 1 pen........I think. Silent Blade please help confirm.

Peschy got one at Gillingham away when it was on digital won 4-1 i think (went their on my own like a loser, had a rate day out though with Sportsman). Possibly all set up by Metal Micky aka D'Jaffo

I don't think they've necessarily become less common.

Last season there were 11 hat-tricks in the Premier League which is about average.

I think it's just an anomaly that we haven't scored one for so long in the league.

Also an anomaly that we never scored more than four goals in a league match last season.

Also an even bigger anomaly that Billy has only scored two hat-tricks in his entire career.

I drove 240 miles one way from then our Devon home to attend that game, the odd thing is, I think the attendance was only 23k that night, only about 1k Blackburn fans in attendance. Our fan base seems to be so much stronger now.

It was Allison who set up Peschisolido's goals. At least I think he had a hand in all three.

Also after that Ndlovu scored a hat trick, including two penalties, against Cardiff. And did Asaba get one off the bench against Brighton? Might be getting my facts mixed up there.
