Better than you, clearly.

Gillingham are horrible physical giants. It's a difficult pitch and we're away from home. He's picked a team for a physical game, not a football classic.

Nigel has shown repeatedly he is tactically adept and knows how to organise a team.

We have a terrific manager. He has picked the team he believes can win us the game. We have berated managers for years for having no Plan B. Nigel has plans A-Z and uses one he thinks will work. His logic is pretty obvious yet you react like a spoilt brat. Why not try trusting him?

anything serious or just a knock?? Was it just a close shave so to speak! Pun intended! :D

No idea mate. Like you disappointed with the starting 11, but it's 1-0 and Nigel will have his reasons. I just hope he's not thinking too far ahead. IMO this is the most important game, we win this one then onto the next

Share your opinion of Nigel mate, just a little disappointed at the start, but hey, what the fuck do I know?
We need this one, 3 points would set us up nicely for the comings few weeks
I felt a bit disappointed on hearing but when I thought about it, I felt daft!
The best managers and coaches are all on the terraces or behind keyboards (I'm one). Clough only sees them 5 or 6 days a week so what the feck does he know :)

Agree mate, but you know what it's like? We're all armchair managers lol

Think Cloughie's the best we've had for years, possibly decades, but it'll never stop anyone giving their tuppence worth will it?

Wasn't surprised to be honest. They have been talking about the state of the pitch and physical nature of the Gills. Porter and Paynter aren't going to set the world a light but they are going to be needed more and more as the game goes along.

Nor should it! But one can register surprise without enquiring what the flying fuck the manager is thinking of, when a moment's thought of one's own provides an obvious answer (doesn't it LSF). :)

Correct....... and everybody think they're right too ;)

And stating the obvious, you'll always have a wide spread of views. I hope I'm nearly always considered (note nearly) but as I said, we've got a good 'un in Nigel and I'm pretty sure he does what he does for the right reasons

The fact that we've got to play twice a week until the start of April probably has something to do with it, no point playing the likes of Scougall, Brayford and Murphy in a match like this when keeping players fit and fresh is the name of the game from here on in.

Cloughy has picked a team that has the best balance of being able to win the game but also prevent any more fatigue to key players, and unless something changes we've accomplished exactly that.

NIGEL is the best we've had for a long, long time.
